Chapter 30

*Cameron's POV*

We all sat at the Taco Bell for hours laughing and talking about the last couple of months and what we've all been doing.

We all joined three tables together and I sat with my arm around Gabby. She smelt so good. like Christmas.

I looked at time on my phone and it read 9:34.

"Guys we should go its passed 9:30!" I say standing up a pushing my chair in

"Yes Cameron," Meygan says "we all know your bedtime is 10!" and everyone laughs and we head towards the parking lot.

"Where are you guys sleeping?" Sara asks us.

"Well, Meygan's mom offered Matt the guest room," I say looking at Matt "and only the guest room, try to contain yourself big boy!" I add and pat Matt in the stomach as he puts his hands up and wraps himself around Meygan.

"I'm going to stay in a hotel with Cameron down the street." Hayes says pointing down in the hotel's direction.

"Well I'm gonna head home. I'm tired and sore!" Meygan says and heads towards her car and Matt follows her like a puppy.

"But it's Friday night! we haven't turned up yet!" I say dancing in place and Gabby joins in.

"Well I'm gonna turn up on the couch!" she says and opens the driver's door and Matt into the passenger's.

"Hey can you drop me off at the hotel?" Hayes says to Meygan

"Hop in big boy!" Matt says and pats the exterior of the car.

"But Hayes! we haven't done anything!" Sara says pouting

"We have tomorrow! I'll be here!" Hayes says

"Okay let's go!" and they both hop in Meygan's car

"Oh shoot!" Sara says and throws something at me "here are my keys to my car, have it back by tomorrow!"

I smile down at the keys then at Gabby

*Gabby's POV*

Sara gave us the keys to her car

"Here are my keys to my car, have it back by tomorrow!" she says

Cameron smiles down at them then turns to me.

"RACE YOU TO THE CAR!" he yells and bolts towards the car.

I don't race him, but I stand there smiling and wave goodbye to everyone.

I hop in the car and we drive off. He puts his arm around my chair and has one hand on the wheel. I still have no idea where he was taking me but we've been sitting in the car for over an hour and its almost eleven.

"Cameron, where are we going?" I ask looking out the window.

"The beach!" he say excited and starts dancing to the song on the radio

It was about another 10 minutes before we finally arrived at the beach and we pulled into the lot and no one was there. Cameron unbuckled his seat belt and jumped out of the car and ran around and opened my door for me.

"Come on!" he says taking my hand and guiding me to the sand.

Me pulls out his flashlight on his phone because it was really dark outside and we couldn't see a thing.

We laugh and try to find the perfect spot to sit and we come to a place not to far from the ocean but close.

I place a blanket down on the sand and we lay down looking up at the stars.

"You see that star right there?" he says pointing to my left. "That looks like a smiley face." He says and laughs

"And that one," I say and point to my right "looks like a bird."

He laughs and disagrees with me.

"That is clearly an elephant!" he says

"Are you sure we are looking at the same thing?" I laugh but we move on

"I think the beach is best a night. I lived coming to the beach with my family every year for a month at our beach house. It was a time to kick back and relax and to escape reality and the real world. A time when no one could bother you or judge you on what you do or say and you were free to do whatever you wanted. I basically grew up on the beach. I need wanted to leave. I would spend countless hours surfing and skim boarding. We need to bring the guys next time. All of us as a group." Cameron says and runs his hands through my hair.

"Um, I don't know how to surf or skimboard!" I say and laugh

"But see, that's the kind of things I want to teach you while I'm here and want to do everything with you."

I couldn't even believe Cameron was mine and I was lucky to have him.

The beach waves slowly rock us to sleep and I fall asleep on his arm and face to face.

*Meygan's POV*

It's one o'clock in the morning on a Friday night and we are still up. Hayes had decided to hang out at my house for a little with Matt and me. Me, Sara, Hayes, and Matt all talk in my room, me and Matt laying down on the bed and Hayes sitting on my desk chair with Sara on his lap.

"I am so tired. I'm going to bed! Goodnight guys." I say and wrap the comforter around me.

"Yeah I'm gonna go to the hotel." Hayes says getting up

"No! just crash on the couch in the living room. There's blankets in the closets in the hall, and pillows are also in there. Knock yourself out!" I say to Hayes.

"Okay thanks." He smiles and heads for the closet.

"You two Sara," I look to see Hayes was a good distance to say without him hearing "and remember, there's two couches there aren't a suggestion, you on one and Hayes on the other!"

"Okay?" I ask

"Sure, you sound like my mother!" she says walking out the door.

"And what about you boy? the guest room is next door!" I say smiling.

"No! it's too far!" He says in a cute little morning voice.

"We are going to the beach tomorrow! You need your rest!" I say caressing his face

"And I'll get my rest here, with you!" he says and kisses my nose.

"Okaayyyyy.....but if my mom catches us, we're done!" I say and reach over him to turn out the light

"She won't! I promise. You know why? because I love you." He says

We slowly fall asleep face to face and his arms were wrapped tightly around me. But one question still haunts me:

Why did Matt ask me if I was gonna wear my practice clothes out to meet Gabby and Sara at Taco Bell?
