All I see is you

Chapter 28

*Meygan's POV*

A week turned into a month and then 4 months passed and before I knew it, I had come to 9 weeks left in my junior year.

We had junior prom, our final countrywide volleyball game, and summer vacation soon. I finally was able to move on from Matt and take it a step forward and I already had my eyes on a guy who played football. But nothing serious, yet.

I've been seeing tweets saying how Matt was going to come back for me, and at first, being the stupid one, I believed it. But that was 4 months ago.

Yes, I was moving on, but part of me was waiting for Matt to be at my doorstep.

I stand on the court doing drills with my team. It was hard to focus. I couldn't hit the ball and every ball I got I would hit it right into the net.

"Meygan!" Coach says calling me over

"Yeah coach?" I say placing my hands on my hips

"What is wrong with you today? you're always ready and at your highest point. what's wrong?"

"I'll tell you what's wrong," Annie begins "her and Matt are done and she can't focus!"

"Shut up Annie!" I say and look back at Coach

"Get your head in the game!" he says and pats me on the back

By the time I get back on the court practice was over and I gather buy bag and have my shoes untied.

I walk out towards the parking lot for my car. I was planning to meet up with Sara and Gabby at Taco Bell

I find my Jeep Wrangler in the lot and see someone standing, leaning on my car.

He had his back to me and he was actually sitting on my hood.

"Um, hello? can you get off of my car?" I say

He turns his head and I see what I've been waiting to see for 4 months

*Matt's POV*

I sit on her hood of the jeep and I st waiting.

"Um, hello? Can you get off of my car?" She say and my stomach turns

I turn around and her face was priceless. She literally jumped so high and start to run towards me. I get off the car and prepare to lift her. But, before she jumps, she trips on her untied volleyball shoes. I couldn't tell whether I should laugh or not but she seems to be crying and laughing at the same time.

She was on the ground so I get down to her height and take her feet and tie each one. double knotted, not too tight, and the ear of the bunny not too long. I wipe the tears streaming down her face and kiss her. Something I've missed. But I really missed her smile, her laugh, and just her. Something I've been living without for over 4 months

"What are you doing here?" she says

"I'm here for you. I miss you so much." I say

"I did too but we can't do this." She says returning to her feet.

"Why?" I question pouting.

"Because if you ex girlfriend, she was threatening me and Sara, that's why we left. The threats were too much." she says looking at her shoes

"But that's just it," i say lifting her chin up and interlocking her hands with mine "I took care of it and they're not going to bother you anymore. I promise."

"Really?" she says and I nod.

"So what do you say? Come back on your with me and the guys?" I ask

She looks away, back at her school

"I can't, I have volleyball tournaments, junior prom coming up, and stuff. I've already let my team down, I can't do it again. Sorry." she says

"I'll be here. I'll wait as long as you're ready and stay here in Florida, whatever it takes, I'm here." I say and rejoin hands.

"I like to know that!" she says and hugs me and kisses my cheek

I pack her bag into the car and before we jump in, we stand in the back, by the trunk.

"So do you think they'll let people who don't go to this school into prom?" I ask smiling

"I think so, a date's a date. Why?" She asks

"Will you go to prom with me?" I ask and her face gets really red

"Of course!" she yells and hopes into my arms and I spin her around.

I still hold her in the air but stop spinning. She runs her hands through my hair and said the three words, eight letters I've been dying to hear over the last few months

"I love you."
