Chapter 12

*Hayes POV*

It's been three weeks and Meygan was finally released from the hospital. She had crutches due to a broken leg. Matt refuses to leave her sight. Like ever.

He says he doesn't want her to push her limits and didn't want to have her meet up with the shadowy figure again.

"Matt I swear! I can do it by myself!"

Meygan says yelling at Matt

"No! I'm gonna help you" he guides her to the couch picking up her crutches as she lays down on the couch.

"Call Of Duty anyone?" (If that is a video game😂) meygan says.

"Yassss!"

Matt lays next to Meygan and they play against each other.

"AAAHHHHH! WHY CAN'T I BEAT YOU!" Matt says screaming to the top of his lungs.

*Meygan's POV*

"Because I'm the queen!" I say.

Matt's been getting on my nerves, insisting that he helps me with EVERY. LITTLE. THING.

Yes, he was just trying to be a good boyfriend but still. I need my space.

"Well, I have to pee! Ill be back." I say picking up my crutches

"Aaron's been in there for 20 minutes, good luck with that." Carter says

"Ughh," I groan "I'll use the one in Cameron's room."

"But that's two floors down! I'll go with you." Matt says

"No. Matt. I'm fine, I can do things on my own." I say

"No! I'm going." Matt demands

"NO MATT! I CAN DO THINGS ON MY OWN. JUST BECAUSE IM ON CRUTCHES DOESN'T MEAN I CAN'T DO THINGS ON MY OWN!" I yell at Matt

His eyes begins to water.

"I just want to take care of you!" Matt says and guides me to the door and we walk outside the hallway and we sit on the floor and lean up against the walls.

"Why are you yelling at me in front of my friends?" Matt asked angry

"What? I want space, that's it. I can do things on my own. You don't have to be at my side for everything" I say touching his hand but he pulls away.

He has never done that before.

We sit in silence for 2 minutes and he begins to cry and then I do, because he does.

"Well, if you need space, I'll give you all the space you need." he says

"Thanks, that means a lot. I knew you'd understand." I say hugging him.

He hugs me back but then I hear it. The two words I didn't want to hear come out of his mouth.

"We're done." he says painfully
