"You know what to do. I already told you. Don't screw up," Akutagawa warned her as they walked past a pair of armed guards guarding the elevator. "If you do, I won't hesitate to kill you."

(Y/n) threw a glare at him as she rubbed her sore hip. "Sure, I can NOT screw up perfectly fine. But do you have to use your ability to grip me so fucking tightly? And you could've not raised me so high up and have me swinging around in mid-air!"

"Do you want me to suffocate you? Or would you rather have me swing you off this tall building? We're on the top floor," Akutagawa spat harshly.

"No thanks. I don't want to lose my life just yet."

(Y/n) and Akutagawa stood in front of a large double door. Another pair of armed guards stood in front of the doors, pointing their guns at them.

"I'm (y/n). The boss ordered to see me."

The heavy doors opened. (Y/n) stood at the door and declared her name before entering the room. A swift glance, she surveyed the interior of the room. It was lavish and spacious. She felt out of place with her tattered clothing and filthy self. She saw many little girl's clothing strewn all over the carpet floor and a scene unfolded before her.

"Please Elise-chan. Just put on the dress," A man with dark coloured hair pleaded. "Even if it's for a little while!"

"No, no! I don't want to wear it." A smaller figure replied.

"Come on, Elise-chan! I specially picked this dress for you. You'll look so pretty in it! Please, it'll be quick!"

He was kneeling in front of the half-dressed girl. Literally begging her to wear the dress he was holding.

"Rintaro, I don't dislike the pretty clothes. But I don't like how you keep pleading me to wear them!" The blonde child sighed.

(Y/n) sweatdropped, eyeing the duo suspiciously.

(Is that Ougai Mori, the boss of Port Mafia?)
(Did they not realise that I'm here?)

"Ehem. Boss, I came at your order," She spoke, a little louder this time and cringed. Mori wasn't her boss officially, so why the hell must she call him boss?

The pair turned and peered at her curiously. Windows blinds were activated as soon as she said that, engulfing the room in darkness.

"Ah, you must be (y/n). Please forget everything you saw just a moment ago," Mori said with a slight smile on his face and waved his hand dismissively. "You must have had a hard time coming here I assume?"

She certainly did. But as if she will ever say that in front of the Mafia boss' face.

"No, boss. Not at all. It was fine," She lied.

"That's good to hear."

(Phew. Seems like Akutagawa and the rest haven't told him anything yet.)
(It was total chaos bringing me to the Port Mafia's headquarters.)

"What do you need to meet me for, boss?" She asked, itching to know the answer. Akutagawa had stubbornly refused to tell her the reason when (y/n) pestered him, almost earning herself a slap in the face.

"That's right. I was about to get to that." Mori began. "I would like you to join the Port Mafia."

(That...was direct.)

"What? Why should I?" (Y/n) demanded.

She could not grasp the situation. Why would the boss of Port Mafia want a useless person like her to join the Mafia? As far as she knew, Port Mafia was an organisation of reputation. A person like her would only taint their pride.

"I'm sure Akutagawa-kun have told you this. That you have high potential working in the Port Mafia."

"That, I already know. But as you can see I'm just an ordinary person. I have no use whatsoever in the Port Mafia."

"That's where you don't know. You possess a powerful ability, (y/n). Joining the Port Mafia can give you a chance to use your ability and rise to your greatest potential."

(I possessed an ability? So I'm an ability user?)
(How come I never knew about this?)

There were so many things she didn't understand, and she had so many questions.

"Yes, you're an ability user. You were probably unaware of your doings. You last used your ability about 6 years ago. That was also the first time you using it." Mori continued, as though he's reading her thoughts.

"How...?"

"It's written on your face."

(6 years ago... That's when I was still 13)
(The year of my parents' death...)

"Want to try out your ability again? Now, to see it with your own eyes." Mori smiled, his eyes held an evil glint. One of the window blinds lifted, revealing the bustling city below. With a shaky breath, she walked over to the window and glanced down. Mori swiftly stepped towards her side.

"See that man talking on his phone over there? Go on, kill him."

She shuddered at his words, unsure of what to do to kill the innocent man. But before she could think further, a malicious word slipped from her lips.

"...die."

Instantly, she could see the same red flash of light from all those years ago engulf the man's body. The man dropped his phone and he fell onto the rough pavement, blood seeping from his dead body. The people around him gathered around to look.

(Y/n) gasped and immediately backed away from the window. The window blind pulled down once again. She stood still, shaking in fear and bewilderment, unable to fathom what she just did.

"Your ability is controlled mostly by your emotions. The stronger your emotions, the stronger your power. Feelings such as anger, fear or hatred are the most powerful emotions to fuel your power." Mori explained matter-of-factly, as if reading from a script. "Your ability is called 'Angel of Destruction'. You're able to destroy anything of any size with just your ability in a matter of seconds and kill anyone or put them through extreme pain."

"I am..."

"That's right. You've probably guessed it by now. You're the cause of your parents' death."

"...the murderer...?"

Haunted images of her Mother's death came crashing back to her.

"No! It's impossible! I'm not the murderer! I'M NOT!" She screamed, falling to her knees.

"I hope you'll consider joining the Port Mafia! Your ability is greatly needed!" Mori beamed at her and waved.

She wanted to lunge forward and asphyxiate him. Wanted him to tell her that what he just said was all a lie, that what she just saw was just an illusion. But before she could do so, she felt something grip and wrap around her body, restraining and pulling her out of the room.

Through the slits, she could see Akutagawa glaring at her. She struggled, desperate to tear away from the beast-like grip that was enveloping her. Akutagawa injected something into her arm and instantly she felt drowsy. Soon, she fell into unconsciousness. Behind the doors of the heavily guarded office, Mori smirked. His plan was running smoothly.

"Got her."
