Love does crazy things. It takes two completely different people and throws them together in the most unexpected way. It can either be good or bad, but most of all it can be crazy.
Who was I kidding? Love is like the black hole. It sucks you in, to never be heard from again. What I mean is that the minute you fall in love and you will, you get totally lost in the other person.
Your friends never hear from you again. Your family becomes a distant memory and everything else falling by the wayside because you, my dear have fallen in love.
Now if you're smart like me, you don't do that. Because, well, let's face it, you aren't me and I have never been in love or lust or even like. I can't help it. No one really ever caught my attention.
I'm not that crazy person who gets caught up in all that mumbo jumbo and gets lost in oblivion. I prefer to get lost on my skateboard or video games. Yep, I am what they call a tomboy. A girl who doesn't do girly things. My name is even boyish. It's Max. Well, Maxine but I prefer Max.
Then you have my two crazy best friends, Sophia and Emma. They are way more girly than me. It balances out actually. They try to make me girly, I flip them off, it's all good.
Then there is the other half of us, who are also our friends, although I don't know why. I'm still trying to figure it out. Those would be the jocks of the school, Finn, Luke, and Marcus. We hang but that's pretty much it. I'm just kidding. They are my best friends.
We all bonded in kindergarten when, I crashed into Finn, literally. Like, crashed into him and knocking him down. I was playing tag and ran smack into him. Of course, I wasn't paying attention. We both fell into the mud. I laughed, he frowned. Good times.
Then there was Sophia and Emma, I became friends with them because some boy was picking on them. Bullies suck. So, of course, I beat him up. That was Luke.
Then the last piece to our puzzle was Marcus. We only became friends because he took my cookie and I threw finger paint at him. Never take a girls' cookie or even food for that matter. It's just wrong.
But honestly, these are by far the best group of friends a girl could have. If it wasn't for them, I doubt I would survive school, let alone high school but it's not over yet.
It's just getting started. Welcome to the senior year where everything changes, including me.
