The switch

Max

I had to wait for everyone to leave before Levi could come in and help me change. Once the locker room was cleared, I opened a door and waved him in. Who was I kidding? I yanked him inside.

"Christ, Max," he remarked. He rubbed his arm.

"Well, we need to make this quick. Finn will be looking for me."

"Are you sure there isn't something going on with, you two?"

I looked at him with furrowed brows, "Why does everyone keep saying that? No, we are best friends."

"Just saying," he said. I gave him a frustrated look and rolled my eyes.

He was helping me change out of the uniform, so I could put on my other clothes, which he had stashed away. Just as I was tying my converse, we heard the door open and ran.

"Hello?" Shit Finn.

We ended up in a stall together and I climbed up on the toilet.

"Anyone here?"

Levi and I were silently arguing when the footsteps got louder until they stopped right in front of the stall. Levi shushed me and I smacked him, "Ow!"

"Levi?"

"Oh, hey, Finn," Levi greeted him.

"What are you doing?"

"Oh, you know, bearing down," he said making a grunting sound.

"Ew, I didn't need to know that," he said and I could so picture his face. I tried not to snicker.

"Can I help you with something?"

"Have you seen Max?"

Levi looked at me, "Yeah, I've seen her."

We gave each other looks while he smirked.

"Usually she waits for me after practice and she isn't there."

"Oh, she said she would meet you at your house. She had to go and purchase tampons," he said quickly. I smacked him again and he balled up his fist giving me a look.

"She's going to meet me at my house?" Finn whispered to himself.

"Are we done, so I can finish dropping the boys off at the pool?"

"Uh, yeah, sure," Finn said. We heard footsteps and the door open and close. We opened the door to the stall and looked around. The coast was clear.

Then I smacked Levi, "Ow! Stop it!"

"His house? Really? Tampons?"

"What? It's logical," he shrugged.

"Levi, first of all, I don't use tampons. Second, we don't go to Finn's after practice. He comes to my house."

"Oops, my bad," he said simply.

"Now, I have to call my brother to take me over to Finn's because if I show up with you, he's going to know something is up," I rolled my eyes as I pulled my phone out and called Jackson. Levi has a big mouth.

I waited outside for Jackson to pick me up. Thank god he likes to take his time because one I didn't need tampons, so that would explain why it took me so long going to the 'store'.

I got into the car and he looked at me, "Okay, spill."

"Spill what?"

"Usually, you come home with Finn, but you called me to take you to his house. Either you two are fighting or something else is going on."
