Max
With the homecoming game and dance coming up. We were pretty busy and the last thing we needed to deal with was Megan Avery. Maybe I should explain who Megan Avery is.She is that girl in school, who is by all accounts good at everything and I mean everything. She is class president, head cheerleader, outstanding grades, and legs to die for. She is also the most annoying and self-righteous person you will ever meet and well, we didn't like her. For obvious reasons.
Sophia and Emma joined the cheer team just to piss her off. They may be girly, but they were also my friends, which meant they had big freaking mouths on them.
Marcus made a point to have a grade point average just a half point higher than her. Why? Because, well, he's friends with me.
Luke didn't like her because, well, Luke doesn't like anyone, except me. That's only because I had beat him up in kindergarten.
As for Finn, Megan has been trying to sink her claws into him, since kindergarten. She figured since she was the head cheerleader and he was the quarterback of the football team, it was like a dream in sports couple Heaven. Unfortunately, for her, Finn and I were best friends. Yeah, she's batting zero for zero.
We were standing at our lockers when Megan came sashaying over to Finn. Here we go.
"Oh, Finn, there you are," she said in the most annoying squeaky voice ever.
"Here I am," he responded with a less than favorable tone.
"I've been looking all over for you. We desperately need to discuss homecoming," she said to him.
"What about it?"
She inched closer to him and walked her fingers up his shirt, "I thought you and I could go together. Since, you know, we are going to be homecoming king and queen." There were snickers from our friends.
"Something funny," she asked them.
"Nope," was a collective reply.
"Megan, I'm already going to homecoming with my friends, just like we always do," he said with a look.
"Well, maybe it's time to change things up," she said, grabbing his hand and dragging him down the hallway.
We all stood there a bit confused, "Is it me or did Megan get a bit stronger," asked Marcus.
"That was just weird," Sophia added.
I stood there and couldn't help but wonder why Finn didn't really resist her. Usually, he does a pretty good job of resisting her, but this time he didn't even fight back. In a way, I felt a little jealous.

Finn
After being dragged halfway down the hallway by Megan, I stopped. She turned around and gave me a smile."Megan, the answer is no. Just like it has always been. When will you get it through that head of yours?" I said sternly.
"Oh, you don't mean that," she countered.
"I mean every word. Just because you think you deserve everything, doesn't mean you will get everything," I huffed.
"Oh, you mean, like, your precious Max?"
"She has nothing to do with it," I reasoned.
"Finn, you need to be serious. She wears Converse sneakers. Never dresses up. Play video games and acts like one of the guys. Is that what you really want in a woman?"
I looked at her, "I would rather have a girl that wears converse any day than a girl like you." I turned and walked away. I was done with this conversation. Megan was a huge thorn in my side and never knew when to let things go.
