The seniors were going on a class trip this year to a ski lodge. Since dad was the coach he was roped into chaperoning and my brothers also decided to tag along and chaperone as well. Personally, I think Ethan and Jackson planned this so they could spend time with Luke and Emma. I, on the other hand, couldn't wait to hit the slopes.

"All right everyone! Listen up! It's going to be a couple of hours trip. When we get there, you will get your room assignments along with ski passes and food vouchers. Anyone and I mean anyone caught drinking or anything illegal, will be sent home and dealt with accordingly. Understand?" He asked us.

"Yeah," was the collective answer.

"Good now, get on the bus," he announced.

We all filed in and found a seat. Finn and I sat next to each other while the others sat by us, along with the majority of the team.

"Ready to hit some slopes," Finn asked me.

"Of course, ready to race?" I smirked at him.

"Always," he smirked back.

The bus ride took a couple of hours, but I was so ready to hit the slopes. We all talked to each other and laughed until the buses pulled into the lodge.

We exited the bus, grabbing our bags on our way, then walked into the lodge with the snow crunching under our feet. At least, there is snow or this trip would totally suck.

Once inside, we were handed our room numbers and who we would be bunking with. I was lucky enough to share a room with Susan. Don't think I forgot about the incident in the cafeteria.

I set my stuff down on a bed and removed my coat along with my winter gloves and hat.

"Max?"

I turned to her.

"I just want to apologize for everything," she said to me.

"Which time? The time you affectionately referred to me as, what's the word, a slut or when you tripped me, causing my cast to crack and to have pain in my broken arm," I said sternly to her.

"All of it, it was stupid," she said with regret.

"Yeah, it was," I mumbled. I didn't want to talk to her anymore. Just being in a room with her irked me. So, I left.

I went to Max's room to see if she wanted to eat, but only Susan was in there.

"Where's Max?"

She turned and looked at me, "She left."

"Where did she go?"

"Got me." She shrugged.

I left their room and went looking for her. I finally found her in the little cafe in the lodge, getting hot cocoa.

"Thanks for waiting," I said to her.

"Sorry, but I couldn't stay in that room any longer with her," she said, taking a sip of her hot cocoa.

"I don't understand why they put you two together anyway."

"Oh, you know, to make my life hell," she said dramatically. I had to laugh because Max is probably the least dramatic out of all of us.

"Hungry?"

"Is that even a question?"

"With you? Nope," I shrugged.

We went and ordered some food.

"I don't understand how girls can eat just a salad, no wonder they're so bitchy because they need food. Like, here, have a cheeseburger." I had to laugh at that. Max always had a way of looking at things.
