Max
With everything going on and our friends being their crazy meddling selves, Finn was able to finally tell me he got accepted to U of M and was on a football scholarship. I was so happy for him as was everyone else. He was a really good player when he actually was protected by the other guys.

We went back to my house to be greeted by my dad and brothers with big grins on their faces. Either they did something they shouldn't have or my letters came from colleges. I had applied to several but was hoping I got into the same one with Finn.

I opened them and apparently, it seems a lot of schools are interested in a female football player. U of M and State both wanted me. The only problem was only one offered a full scholarship and that was State.

I sat on the couch, trying to figure out what I was going to do. Either go to school with my boyfriend and figure out a way to pay for the rest of the school or go to a competing school and not have to worry about money.

"Okay, so you go to the other school," dad said to me.

"But she if she goes to the other school, she isn't with Finn," Jackson reminded him.

"Yeah true, but then I have to figure out how to pay for the rest of her schooling," he responded.

As they were talking about where I should go, the jet lag was getting to me and before I knew it, I fell asleep.

"Leave it to Max to fall asleep when it comes to a big decision like this," Aiden said as he pointed to me, asleep on the couch.

"Let her sleep. We'll figure this out later," dad told him.

I wasn't the only one that fell asleep, so did Finn. What can I say? We were two peas in a pod.

Between the trip and finding out about college, Max and I were pretty exhausted. On top of it, having to deal with our crazy friends, all we wanted to do was sleep. That's exactly what happened. We both fell asleep on the couch.

I woke up and rubbed my eyes. It was dark out and I was on a couch. I looked over to see Max sleeping. How long have we've been out for? I looked at my phone. Shit, how we've been asleep for five hours?

I stretched and stood up, I needed to use the bathroom. After I finished, I came downstairs to see Max still asleep on the couch. I walked into the kitchen to find Coach in there.

"Hungry," he asked.

"Yeah, I can't believe we both fell asleep," I said, taking a seat at the table.

"Jet lag will do it," he chuckled as he pulled out stuff to make a sandwich for me.

"So, what college do you think she will go with," I asked him.

"It depends. I mean it's either U of M or State with each offering something for her. U of M offers you, which by the way, congrats on the acceptance. But State offers a full ride," he said as he finished making my sandwich. He picked up the plate and carried it over to me, then grabbed me a bottle of water.

I took a bite out of my sandwich and looked at him as I chewed and swallowed.

"Coach, I don't want her to pick a school because of me. I want her to pick because it's what she wants," I said to him in between bites.

Then we heard, "I'm not going to." We both looked to see her standing at the doorway. Coach got up and made another sandwich as she sat down.

"Finn, I love you, but I also know my dad doesn't have the money to pay for the remaining balance of school."

"What are you saying, Max?" Coach asked as he set the plate down in front of her.

"I'm going to State. Plus, when both schools go head to head in football, I can square off against Huckleberry," she smirked.

"Bring it on Mad Max. Bring it on," I challenged her. She just grinned with her cheeks full of food.

We decided to tell everyone the news. Let's just say they didn't take it well.

"You're not serious?" Luke exclaimed.

"Why can't I be serious?"

"But it's State," Marcus reasoned

"So," I said.

"So, State sucks," Luke added.

I gave them a look, "Look, I'm going. Finn will be at U of M and I will be at State. We'll still be in the same state so we will still get to see each other. Plus, the games will be great," I said cheekily.

"Well, if that is the case, Sophia and I will go to State and you guys go to U of M. That way we can make sure Max and Finn stay together," Emma told them. Sophia nodded in agreement.

"Fine, whatever," Luke grumbled.

My brothers poked their heads in the doorway, "So? What was decided?" Ethan asked.

"Well, Luke is going to U of M, but Emma is going to State," Finn told them.

"What?" Jackson and Ethan exclaimed.

They walked in and started arguing with everyone and Aiden chuckled.

"Well, this should be fun to watch the games," he laughed.

I facepalmed my face and shook my head. This was going to be an interesting four years at school with everyone.

Here's a bit of information in regard to the University of Michigan and Michigan State, they have the biggest rivalry in football and school history in Michigan. If you even step foot on the other school grounds with your school colors, it's not pretty.

With the six of us split between both schools, this would make for an interesting dynamic later on between Finn and me. But it's okay, State will clean U of M's clock, once I hit the field. I can guarantee it.

Sorry for the short chapter, but I wanted to get it out. This idea fits perfectly into the story, don't you think?

As for any U of M fans and State fans, don't worry, I had this happen with some family members where one went to State while another went to U of M.

Let's just say it was pretty funny when one wore their colors to the other's school.

Get ready, the chapter you all have been waiting for is coming up!
