(Taehyung POV)
"I feel like it's been forever!"
My cousin, Natia Grayson, squeals as she squeezes me in a tight hug. I laugh as she holds my shoulders and shakes me in my office at Grayson International.
"Tae Tae! When did you get so tall and handsome?" She gasps and I smirk.
"It's only been a year Natia." I try to shrug it off as she lets go of me so I can grab my jacket.
"I know but for some reason, it feels like its been longer. I swear to the gods you must have started training again." She suggests with a questioning eyebrow and I roll my eyes.
"Hmm, I guess I've just been bulking up without realizing it." I shrug and she eyes me with a small pout but lets it go as I toss on my light black fleece jacket.
I can feel a small uncontrollable smile form on my lips with the precious redolence of Aiden stimulating my olfactory organs. His smell still lingering from when I gave it to him the other day while we were wandering around and he started to shiver slightly at the crisp November breeze. Giving him my jacket was the least I could do considering we were in public and I knew better than to hold him close. Sticking my hands in my pockets instead, taking the small joys of observing him snuggled up in my fleece. I had been hoping the affection I ever so badly wanted to expand to him, could be felt in my loving glance.
"Are you even listening to me?"
I'm quickly brought back to this lonely reality, remembering I'm within the presence of Natia.
"Of course, wait what were you saying?" I ask and she shakes her head giggling as she grabbed my hand while we walked down the stairs.
"Remember how you were so tiny I had to hold your hand and lead you everywhere so you wouldn't disappear into the crowds?" She reminisces.
"Yes, I also remember you getting you managing to continually get us lost anyway. Multiple times." I remind her and we reach the bottom of the stairs.
She gives me a side hug with her giggling head on my shoulder.
"Haha very funny, Oh gosh you're so tall and manly now Even in high heels I can't compare! I feel like I can't even look at you as the same person anymore. You're so handsome that there must be a special someone and don't you lie to me!" She exclaims in my ear before letting go of me.
I give her a look with a small smirk.
"Oh! Tae spill it now!" She cries out and as much as I wished to tell her along with the rest of the universe, I couldn't bring myself to do it without his approval.
"Ah, just it's a someone who makes me feel like life is worth enjoying." I sigh into the wind with the bustling street beside me.
"Tae Tae! Ahhhhh! Who is it? Is it a girl or boy? Come on! You use to tell me everything!" she begs as we walk into a small coffee shop.
"There is someone but I'm afraid we have not yet reached to point of speaking freely. I would hate to upset them with my loose tongue." I respond to hopefully swerve the question.
She grabs her coffee and looks at me.
"Well, I can't wait to meet them someday then,"
Later that night I went looking for Aiden to introduce him to my cousin. "He's a good friend of ours." I explain to her while knocking on his bedroom door and she eyes me.
Was it that obvious?
There was no reply and I look at the time.
"Huh, maybe he's out for a run. He usually does that around this time. Let's get going then."
