(Jamie POV)
Icarus goes at it with Aiden and shifting in my chair with my arms handcuffed behind my back, I kick Aiden's chair so hard it falls sideways.
I would much rather take the pain than watch another suffer.
Icarus stops hitting Aiden once he falls and turns to me with a smirk on his face.
"How bold considering you're the unnecessary one." He says and takes aim.
I close my eyes in preparation, but Mari fills my thoughts and I open them again. Staring Icarus down. I wasn't going to make this easy for him.
"Shoot me," I mutter and he laughs.
"What is this even for?!" Clara screams and Luccia slides into the piano bench in front of us. I look over at Aiden to confirm he was still breathing.
"Oh my sweet baby girl..." Luccia starts but Clara interrupts her quickly,
"I'm not your fucking baby girl. I am not your daughter. I only have two fathers and their names are Pierce and Alejandro Grayson. I have not once in my lifetime heart the name Luccia uttered in my household from either of my father's lips!" She spits out.
She flips her long brown hair to the side and looks at this woman who called herself Clara's mother. The two were definitely similar in some respects and I could see the possibility. But then again I had never seen Clara's father.
"Pierce never mentioned me?"
Luccia gasps back in half shock and half hurt as if it actually pained her.
"No, apparently in the eighteen years I've been alive, not once have you been worth mentioning," Clara says in such a sinister tone it sends visible shivers down Luccia's spine. Her delicate hands balled up into a tight fist as Clara stands her ground.
"How dare you speak to me in this way, I carried you in my womb for nine months. There is a bond that can't be broken." Luccia stutters but Clara shakes her head with a small smirk.
"You could have carried me for years but that still doesn't give you the right to call yourself my mother. You gave up that title the moment I was born and my father raised me without the slightest mention of you." Clara continues, completely unafraid.
That is until Luccia look at Icarus and gives him a gentle nod towards me and the gun is fired.
