(Taehyung POV)
"We should make this a thing, you know, just international vigilante secret identity superheroes countries can rent out and trade," Finley says as he looks through the scope of his sniper. A dark green glow coming from the symbol on the chest of his cloak.
I zoom in my sights on the abandoned chateau.
"I don't know about you, but I don't want to do this often," I confess to him while adjusting my gloves. The symbol on my chest blaring red.
He shrugs off my commentary.
"You should know by now what comes with this name. I would think twice before you give it to them."
He feels the urge to remind us but I didn't need to heed warning considering it was too late.
Just as he finishes his sentence the sound of the gunshot and screams ring through our ears heightening my senses and Finley pops off three shots.
"He shot Hamie,"
Mari says in the darkest tone I have ever heard come out of him in my entire life. He grips his saber in hand as the chateau starts to fill with smoke and Fin gives us the green light. I tug on the zip line and start running with Mari in complete synchronization. Although he was team Saber and I was Bravo, we had collaborated so many times before our movements were completely natural.
Promptly jumping off the roof of the apartment we had camped out on and falling midair, the tug from the line holds us steads and I grip the handle of my knife as we fly forward.
As we near the building, I cut the line sending me in freefall as I crash through the window and roll forwards into the building.
Through the coughing, I can hear the buzz from Mari's saber as he runs through to release the others of their shackles while I get into my first offensive combat against the woman named Luccia. Shock registers on her face as I'm quick to sideswipe her petite body and with a heavy blow to the head containing just enough carefully calculated pressure I cause her to lose consciousness.
I try to look for the other guy named Icarus but I'm quickly distracted by the coughing on the floor and look down to see Aiden laying down by my feet, bruised, battered, and severly wounded.
Unable to control myself, I bend down to my knees and turn him over. He was still breathing but just barely.
He looks up at me and I look at him.
And through my hooded figure and covered face, he's somehow able to see right through me,
"Tae..."
He whimpers as he touches my knee with his fingertips.
"Aiden..."
My thoughts disturbed by the barrel of the gun pressed against my forehead by nonother than the monster who did this himself.
"Don't move," He warns and I put my hands up for mercy.
I should have never gone to Aiden but I live my life without regrets and lose control, lunging forward.
Grabbing the gun between my palms to disable him but with his finger on the trigger a round still goes off and an all too familiar scream pierces my ears.
