(Aiden POV)
I scream out when the hot searing pain enters my body and almost pass out from the agony.
I feel my body go limp and in the blink of an eye, this shadow I believed to be none other than a figment of my imagination or Taehyung was standing over me with Icarus' gun.
He tosses it down on the floor and takes out his own holstered blasters from his hips and aims forward while standing over me.
Four bright red flashes of light blind me as I squeeze my eyes shut, feeling like I just looked into the burning sun.
As if bleeding out and possibly dying wasn't enough pain.
I feel Taehyung gently place his arms underneath me and lift me up.
I open my eyes just enough to see he had taken off the scary mask and it really was Tae protecting me.
He looks down at me and I struggle to lift my arm while feeling myself bleed out from the gunshot wound. Wanting to caress his soft cheek but the pain was so great, I'm forced to give up.
"So this is how I die huh? I guess we really are Romeo and Juliet,"
I chuckle a little but the pain turns my small tinkle of laughter into a yelp of the worst pain imaginable.
"Aiden..."
He barely whispers my name through those beautiful perfect lips which I would never kiss again. Tears were starting to form in his eyes.
"I know I wasn't the best soulmate or starcrossed lover..."
I continue and he looks down at me while continuing to carry me in his arms.
"But I love you Tae, and I'm sorry for being such a fucking idiot."
I cry out, gritting my teeth through the pain humming its way through my body.
"Aiden..."
He says my name again but I press a single finger to his lips. The struggle to do so was great but well worth it to get my message gets across,
"It's okay Taehyung...I know you love me too. And Although my death was born from catastrophy I'll hold the happiness in you holding me close forever remembering you carrying me like this. I wouldn't have it any other way"
I try to say as loud as I could but it only came out as a quiet whisper.
"Aiden,"
I clap a hand over his mouth to enjoy our last moments in silence without worrying about his last words. He licks it and I pull my hand away disgusted before he stops walking and looks down at me.
"Aiden, your bullet wound in in your left shoulder and looks superficial. You're going to be fine,"
he says and I look down to see my vital organs had gone unscathed.
"Oh,"
I mutter and he chuckles a little as he carries me down a set of stairs.
"Are you sure Tae? I feel like I can see the light!"
I lean back and close my eyes. He only huffs a response and I look down once more.
"Woah..that...that's...that's a lot of blood."
I groan feeling dizzy as I look at it.
"Aiden? Hey, stay with me,"
but I couldn't fight the blackness that consumed me.
