Prologue

Annabeth Chase

(1997~2014)

It was many and many years ago

A boy smiled bitterly. Very long. A very long time ago.

In a kingdom by the sea

Not really... More like a camp.

By the name of Annabel Lee

She would of killed him if he called her Annabel

And this maiden she lived with no other thought

Than to love and be loved by me

A tear rolled down from his sea green eyes and fell on his cheek

I was a child and she was a child,

In this Kingdom by the sea.

We used to be so young, so carefree...

But we loved with a love that was more that love-

I and my Annabel Lee-

With a love that the winged seraphs in Hevan Coveted her and me

And this was the reason that, long ago,

In this kingdom by the sea, A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling

My beautiful Annabel Lee

so that her high born kinsmen came And bore her away from me,

To shut her up in a sepulchre, in this kingdom by the sea

He remembered the words that he said.

"As long we are together"

What would happen now?

The angels-

He snorted. The gods were not anything close to angels.

Not half so happy in Heaven,

Went envying her and me

Yes!- that was the reason

That the wind came out of the cloud by night,

Killing and chilling my Annabel Lee.

I let out a long breath.

Killing and chilling.

The night seemed to be darker that day.

But the gods weren't there.

But our love it was stronger by far that the love

Of those who were older than we-

Of many far wiser than we-

And neither the angels in Heavan above,

Nor the demons down under the sea,

Can ever dissever my soul from the soul

Of the beautiful Annabel Lee.

For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams

Of the beautiful Annabel Lee

The nightmares were full of her. Full of happy days that would bring me to tears when I came back to the surface of reality.

More tears fell, now dribbling drops of salty, warm tears fell of the grave.

And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes

Of the beautiful Annabel Lee:-

And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side

Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride,

In her sepulcher there by the sea-

In her tomb by the surronding sea.

Quietly, he stood up, and left white flowers and the thing he had in his hand.

He dissapeared, went away to somewhere, somewhere where he had started a new life.
