Percy POV

I was looking in the mirror, wondering if it was really me in the glass.

I hated how it was so uncomfortable to change my appearance.

My eyes were the same, my hair was still black.

Ugly scars wrapped around my neck, threatening to crawl up to my face. I rubbed the rough white scars, hoping they would dissapear soon.

Even without all that above, I was still a striking image of Poseidon, which brought back memories of the day I died.

Kind of.

I crashed on to my bed, not bothering the fact that I didn't change out of my clothes.

Then I let my dreams take over.

~

I was there.

I walked into the throne room, trying not to look at Athena.

I wasn't sure if I would be able to hold in my emotions.

"Any last words, Perseus?"

Last words.

"....What?"

"Don't act like if you dont know, boy." Artemis spat.

I blinked a few times. My sleep deprived brain wasn't catching on.

"Maybe we should think about this." Poseidon mumbled.

"He must be punished, Lord Posiedon." Demeter said grimly.

"How should we kill him?" Zeus mused.

"Throw him into Tartarus." Athena said coldly.

Tartarus.

~

I woke up panting.

I took a deep breath.

You won't be going back there. Never.

Will you.

I rubbed my face, letting out a long breath. Breathe.

I felt painfully alone in my dark room, but it had already been so long since I had been feeling this every time I woke up.

I pulled a mask over my face. It felt somewhat more suffocating than it was before.

But it was better than someone knowing who I was.

I stepped out of my room and went down the stairs, to see a few soldiers walking by. They bowed to me as they passed, and I aknowledged them slightly.

I tried not to drag my feet while walking to my office.

Keep your head up.

Voices in my head.

I opened the door to my office, snapping the lights on. There were new stacks of papers on my desk. Sticky notes were on each stack, telling me when they were due.

I made myself a cup of coffee and sat on my chair.

Not much special stuff.

Just letters from mayors, other workers, contracts from other planets-

I had to check them, sign them, and type out a few contracts.

It was okay work.

More people are wanting to go back to Earth. Please give a solution.

I sighed.

I could understand.

Home.

I could smell the strawberry fields by just imagining camp.

Lemons.

I clenched my hands tight.

Not now.

I heard a knock on my door. I opened the door.

"Commander."

A small girl about 10 bowed her head to me.

"Lord Chaos wants to see you."

I nodded. "Right now?"

"Yes."

"Alright. Thank you."

She bowed one last time and passed by. I turned the right corner to Chaos's office, wondering about what he wanted to tell me.

Would it be something bad?

My steps seemed to slow down. It couldn't be. After all these centuries of peace.

Stupid. Always thinking of Earth when Chaos calls me.

Seaweed Brain.

Please Annabeth.

Not now.
