Zeta's POV

I took a deep breath.

I didn't know what Tartarus was for Omega, but I could see that he was there twice. But I had this gut feeling that Mu was here, and that feeling became even stronger when I saw that Commander was afraid of this place. It looked like if our enemy knew about him and all his weakness. Maybe they chucked Mu in here to keep Commander from coming here.

But Mu.

He was an innocent little kid swept up in a war that he didn't know about.

"Commander. Can't you go down there once? Just-"

"You don't know." he said, standing up. "You don't know how much power he has over dreams, Zeta. The more you see him, the more you be in his presence, he has more control over your dreams." he grabbed my shoulders.

"I can't let you and everyone go down there."

"I'll go alone."

Nico blinked. "What?"

"You know the dreams Nico. They will get worse if you go down there. You don't want that.

"But what about you. Won't your dreams get worse?"

He didn't say anything.

"If Omega's going, we are all going together." Leo stepped up. "Don't say your're going alone."

Commanders shoulders drooped. "You will regret this."

"We won't blame it on you." I comforted. "So don't stop us."

"Then get ready." He took a deep breath. "And close your eyes when you meet him."

And we fell down, down, and down.

~

We landed on a brick floor.

Or more like Commanders wings.

The big, black wings cushioned our fall, and he struggled to fold his wings in the tight place. I got his wings untangled and he folded his wings, making that small room not so small. His ivory scarf had fallen off during the fall, so he picked it up and wrapped it around his neck again. We all took in our surroundings. There were three hallways, and we were in a dark, damp room made of bricks. Leo ignited his hand and the room brightened up so we could see better.

"This isn't Tartarus."

"Of course not. But it's connected to Tartarus and Tartarus is here." Commander said.

I examined his face. He was pale and looked scared to death, but his voice was steady. I admired how he could stay so calm.

"I think we should go that way. " Nico said. "Those two look like a dead end."

Leo nodded. He pushed past Commander to lead the way with his fire, but Commander stopped him with his arm.

"Wait." he said. "Don't you hear that?"

I frowned. "What?"

He shook his head and looked in to the darkness. "No..." he looked back at Leo. "I'll lead the way. Follow behind me."

Commander was the first one to step in to the dark hallway. He paused for a moment, but soon walked in to the darkness. I followed Leo's light until we reached a wall. Commander tapped on the wall.

"Um... Commander we should j-" he punched the wall, and it broke down into dust. He suddenly coughed, and Leo let out a cry. The light went out. A horrible laughing sound filled the hallway.

"Light'" I gasped. "I can't see anything!"

Like a reply, light filled the room, exterminating the chaos. I saw a sword protruding out of Commanders stomach.
