"Have yourself, a merry little Christmas." I sing softly placing the food out on the table.
"Your singing still sucks." Damien says as he leans against the dinning room door frame. i roll my eyes at him.
"It's christmas, don't be rude." I say and tap his nose as I walk away from him.
"Well, you look incredible." He says taking in what I'm wearing.
"Why, thank you. You are still a loser." I say with a grin.
"That hit home, Love." he says clutching his chest in mock pain.
"Grow up and hand me that lighter." I say pointing to it waiting for him to hand it to me.
He rolls his gorgeous eyes and hands me the lighter forcing a smile. I return it and taking it. I light the two candles that evenly sit on the table. I walk over, heels clicking, and place the lighter in a drawer scared Reece might find it.
"Hello?" I hear Gina say and smile slips onto my face.
"Gina?" I say peering arpund the corner.
"Who's Gina?" Damien asks in a low tone.
"My cousin." I answer like its obvious.
"B!" She hugs me and kisses my cheek. "Merry Christmas, chica!"
"Merry Christmas! My aunt and uncle bid me a quick hello before going off to find my mother and B.
"You're Damien, right?" She asks scanning over Damien with curious eyes.
He nods and smiles. "Yeah, hi, nice to meet you."
"You too." Gina replies before Damiens arm settles around my waist.
"Its almost dinner I just need to get Reece and—"
"Who's Reece?" She asks.
"Caprice? My daughter?"
"Oh! Right of course." She says dawning on her who it is.
"Gina!" Camilla screeches and I roll my eyes as their greeting is
Over exaggerated.The door bell rings. "I'm going to go get that." I tell Damien before kissing his cheek and retreating towds the door.
I'm smiling ridiculously as I pull the wooden door open and reveal Nick in his burly winter coat. " Nick. "
"Hey B." He says smiling and stepping inside
"Caprice is arpund here somewhere.." I say trailing off looking for a sign of my daughter.
"Dad!" She screeches and it indicates she very we'll here and known. She runs up to him and ands in his arms as he twirls her, her Christmas dress twirl with her.
"Hey, baby girl." He says into the crop of her neck before placing her down and sliding off his jacket.
"Bronx!" I hear Gina yell in her thick Jersey like accent. "Get in here. Ma can't make the pasta right."
I roll my eyes. "I'm coming!."
"Come on. Bond with my family. Dinner is almost ready." I sy with a smile and walk off to the kitchen.
"Ma?" I say co fused walking in.
"I can't get the pasta sauce right"my mother huffs and places the spoon down on the counter.
" why do you men you can't make it? You always make it." I spin the spoon arpund in the pot smelling it. Oregano. "How could you forget the oregano!"
