CHAPTER 6
"I thank God everyday, that I woke up feeling this way..."
"If I was you I'd wanna be me too! I'd wanna be me too!" I joyfully sang and danced with the music as I was getting ready for school.
"Hey would you stop singing and get your ass down here if you want a ride! Cause I'm going to be late." sigaw ni Jace "If you're not down within five seconds I will really--"
I unplugged the flat iron and closed my drawer and went down.
"sheesh! Jace stop being such a sour puss early in the morning!" I rolled my eyes at him.
"easy for you to say! Hindi ikaw yong nag hintay ng halos isang oras. And sinabi mo "mag bibihis" ka lang?" he grabbed his car keys and went out.
"ang sungit." I said as I followed him behind.
Pumunta muna ako sa coffee shop na katabi ng school
"good morning ma'aam." bati ng guard sa akin habang pinagbuksan ako ng pinto.
I ordered one butternut donut and a hot choco.
I checked my watch 8:58 A.M.
Still have more than 30 minutes before my class starts.
"good morning sir!" I heard the lady say while enjoying my food.
He went up to the counter and more staff greeted him. Manager siguro nila. He's tall, broad shoulders, clean cut hair. He's wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap.
Damn he's hot.
Wait.
I remember that cap. White cap with a cursive written "cal" word on it shortcut for california.
Hindi na ako nag aksaya ng oras. I got my things as fast as I could pero dahil sa pagmamadali natabig ko ang hot chocolate ko at dumiretso ito sa research paper ko.
"Shit!" I cursed silently. Hoping I didn't get much of an attention.
"uhh miss, are you okay?" I can really feel he's right behind me.
I just nodded as my response and raised a thumbs up saying i'm okay and I can handle it.
"wait there. Let me get some tissue."
I know that accent damn too well. It haunted me for days and now my nightmare just became real.
Habang umalis siya para kumuha ng tissue kinuha ko ang pagkakataong iyon para maka alis agad.
9:15 A.M.
I'm too early for my class damn it! I could've enjoyed my 30 minute free time in the shop but he just had to come.
Hindi ko alam kung bakit ako nataranta. But I just felt my heart beat getting so fast as if I was chased by a killer.
I ran like hell towards our classroom, afraid that he might come after me.
Some students are looking at me while they pass by the room looking at me as if I'm some weird, innocent college student too excited for her damn class.
After a while dumating na ang mga kaklase ko and dumating na rin si Avy. Kaklase ko siya.
"Oh ang aga mo naman ata ah? Mas nauna ka pa talaga sa akin haha! Bago yun ah." tukso niya pa habang papalapit para maupo katabi ko.
"as much as I dislike this class pero napilitan akong pumasok ng maaga."
"why? What happened?" nagtatakang tanong niya.
"trust me, you do not want to know."
At hindi na siya nag tanong pa at nagpapasalamat ako para dun.
that's what I like most about Avy. she doesn't force me to open up. she just lets me do my own thing and figure it out on my own. but when she feels I need to open up that's the time she'll pry and ask me to open up.
When the class was settled sinimulan na ng professor ang klase.
While I was taking down notes I heard a voice from behind me.
"cool bracelet tho."
I stopped writing and looked at my dream catcher bracelet. Avy was too caught up with the lesson that she didn't hear the voice from behind us.
I was very hesitant to look back but I just couldn't help it.
Greyson.
I can't believe it!
I looked down to my notebook and continued taking down notes.. Or pretending to..
I can't concetrate! Damn!
Teka? Bakit ba ako kinakabahan?
Wala naman akong atraso sakanya ah!
