CHAPTER 9
Hindi ko alam kung saan kami kakain so I wouldn't exactly know what to wear that is appropriate for our dinner.
Wait? Is this even considered a date?
I called for ate Kyla and Sky for help.
"so hindi ka sure kung date ang tawag sa dinner niyo?" ate Sky tried to clarify.
"it's a date when a guy picks you up from your home!" ate Kyla seemed so excited.
"okay? So we're considering this as a date?" tanong ko, still confused.
"this is your first date?" tanong ni ate sky.
"sort of. But I know how to act in front of boys for goodness sake I live with the boys and I have cousins that are jerks so.." I think they get my point.
"okay. Just be yourself alright?" I nodded.
"teka, do you like this boy?"
"NO!" I responded immediately.
"then bakit ka makikipag date?"
"cause I didn't have a choice and it's a long story." I looked at the clock and it was already past 7 pm "...and we only have less than an hour to prepare!"
Ate Kyla took care of my make up and ate Sky took care of my wardrobe.
"let's put a little wing..." I heard her say while putting eyeliner on my eyes.
"open up." she commanded and I gladly obliged
"look." she motioned to the mirror and there I saw my face.
"great gods ako pa ba to? Haha!"
"ofcourse lex. You are beautiful kahit walang make up. Mas pinaganda lang kita."
I wore a flowy, white, 2-inches above the knee halter dress.
At sinuot ko pa rin ang bracelet ko at ang necklace ko na may angel wings.
"you look beautiful sweetie, and you always have a choice." Ate sky winked at me.
"Alexa ayan na sundo mo!" sigaw ni mommy galing sa baba.
Pagbaba ko agad kong nakita si Greyson kasama ang buong pamilya ko sa sala.
"You look lovely." I just smiled at him. And I turned to my dad and my brothers.
"what?" I asked them. Nakasimangot kasi silang tatlo.
"ibalik mo yan dito ng 11 pm." masungit na sabi ni Jace.
"alam ko na ang buong pangalan mo at pwede kitang ipapatay kapag may nangyari sa prinsesa namin." sabi naman ni Chase.
Magsasalita na sana si dad pero inunahan ko na sya "oopsss! Okay na. Gets na namin. Walang masamang mangyayari. I promise. I'll even be home before 11." I kissed mom and dad's cheeks before going.
"bakit ka pa pumasok ng bahay?" I asked him when I had enough courage.
" your mom invited me in, it would be so rude of me to turn down the request of the parents of my date right?" he smiled at me and looked back at the road.
"why would you even take me out?" I asked while looking for his eyes.
"why not?"
"pwede ba Greyson stop playing games! I don't want to be a part of your life! If this is just your way to make your ex girlfriend jealous then wag ako Grey! Wag ako." I crossed my arms and looked at the window.
"ganyan ba ang tingin mo sa akin? Do you think I would regret breaking up with that whore?! And I couldn't care less about her." nagsisimula ng tumataas ang boses niya. We remained silent hanggang sa nakarating kami sa isang malaking bahay. A little bit bigger than our house.
The big gates were opened and we were welcomed with a large drive way with little solar lamps that lit up the place. In the center was a meduim fountain and flowers as well.
"kaninong bahay to?" tanong ko ng makalabas ako sa kotse.
"My parents. I live here." agad nanlaki ang mga mata ko.
"what?! Why would you even take me here?!"
"may party kasi. it's the birthday of my mother's dad; my grandfather, Roy Lucius Gomez and I need a date." after that he pulled me in before I could even protest.
"hey Greyson!" tawag ng isang mid 30's na lalake sa kanya.
"hi tito! Kamusta?" he continued to walk until we reached the dining table.
"OMG. Alexa?! Is that you?" It was Ava she was wearing a nice formal red dress with a glass of wine in her hand.
"hi!" I greeted her with a smile.
"I never thought I'd you again and here of all places, with my brother pa talaga!" she smiled sheepishly.
"hi dear sister. Pwede ba? 'wag kang manira ng date okay?" namula naman agad ang mukha ko.
Shit! First date pa lang meet the family na?! Ibang klase ka talaga Renee..
When an old man is being wheeled inside the room by a nurse, Ava immediately averted her gaze.
"oh ayan na ang apo ninyo lolo at may kasama po siya." she smiled.
"Iho! Kanina pa kita hinihintay!" lumapit kami at nag mano siya.
"Lolo, I would like to introduce Alexa Renee Luke, my girlfriend."
