CHAPTER 10
"a-ano?" naguguluhang tanong ko kay Grey pero hindi niya ako nilingon.
Lumapit sa akin ang lolo niya. As he came closer my heartbeat went faster and faster. I am so confused!
"You must be the girl that makes my grandson so crazy in love." I smiled nervously and looked at Grey.
"uhh there must be some kind of mista--" Grey cut me off before I could finish what I was going to say.
"Lo, kukuha muna kami ng pagkain. Nagugutom na ata si Alexa." and then he pulled me away from the crowd and went upstairs.
We entered the third door to the left.
As soon as he shut the door I started to scream at him.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" I shouted at him.
"okay, calm down. Let me explain."
"EXPLAIN?! I thought we were going on a date! I expect good restaurant, with good food and then maybe we could get some ice cream on the way home or whatever shit you do on dates but this?! NOT this Greyson! So you better start explaining. And you better have an acceptable reason."
He took a deep breath before speaking
"My grandfather is dying. He said he wanted to see me fall inlove and meet my girlfriend before he dies. And ayoko sa mga ganyan. I don't do commitments. I don't do meeting the parents and the grandparents. For short, I don't do attatchments and loyalties or whatever of some sort. But he's too important to me and here's really what I want..."
"before I could get my inheritance I need to show him that I am ready for such inheritance. And he thinks that for me to get ready is to have a girlfriend and to marry her or promise her marriage. And he has to see all of it. So to keep things short I need to be engaged or married before he dies or goodbye inheritance."
"SO?! Anong kinalaman ko sa lahat ng yan? I'm sure your grandfather is adorable and all but what does it have to do with me!?" I am panicking right now.
"I need you to be my girlfriend." he used quotations on the word girlfriend.
"as in fake girlfriend? You're going to use me? To lie to your dying grandfather to get your stupid inheritance?! Are you kidding me?!"
"uh-uh there's no backing out now, he knows you already. For all I know kumuha na yon ng private investigator at pina imbestigahan ka at ang iyong pamumuhay lalong-lalo na ang iyong family background."
I slapped his chest hard.
Damn it!
"what the?!" he snapped at me
"No! You tell your grandfather right now that this is all a mistake! That, uhmm we fought and broke up! I will not help you with your plans! Devil spawn!" I took a seat to the chair next to me.
"Or if you're not going to, I am." I looked him in the eye.
"NO. Listen to me, I just want to make him happy. Gusto ko lang makita siyang maging proud sa akin. And also I want my inheritance." I stomped on his feet again. "oww! But I really want him to be happy. When he dies, at least I have done something to make him happy." while he was talking his eyes gone soft and he just seemed so sincere.
"okay." I said without looking him in the eye.
"o-okay? Sabi mo yan ah! No more taking it back! And don't worry I'll give you 5% of the money."
I just rolled my eyes at him.
