Elaine's POV

Where the hell is she looking at?

My eyes followed the same path where she was still gluing her eyes on and now it was me who was shocked to my core...

"Nigel...." I muttered to myself inaudibly whilst trying to catch my fast breaths....

Darn it!

His face was at a loss of emotions which was always far beyond impossible of figuring it out. But his carved face was obviously fixiated on somewhere else and then he serially set his dark brown eyes on me making me gulp the thick lump in the mid of my larynx. I couldn't muster my words up to utter next. So that I urged myself to give him a plain "Hi!" followed by a slight smile on my face. But he was still in his unmoving posture making me flurry as to why he was keeping himself so rigid. Something clicked my mind that he was rigorously looking at me and that was when my gaze fixed down at me only to be embarrassed at what I was dressing in front of my soon to be husband aka now my fiance...

Funny to call that though... Fiance..

I uplifted myself off Liam and still with the cracking laughter Liam too turned his glance towards where I was looking at. It seemed like he recognized the man at first sight as Nigel Xander from Xanders Shipping Corporation in a flick. As if on cue he too peeled his body off the floor as he got to his feet in order to welcome the new guest at home... Composing myself I wandered my discomposed eyes towards Nigel to introduce my friends who were in my home now.

"Um.. Nigel meet my friends... This is Liam Hamilton.. The owner of Hamiltons' Diamond..." I said not trying to show the discomfort within me.

Stuffing his hands in either side of the pocket Nigel got himself closer to us, then stretching his arm out he shook his hand with Lee giving an applicable smile at him. "Happy to meet you Mr.Hamilton..." he said in a professional tone surprising me.. Well! For my clarification I never thought he would shake hand with my friends right now. Cause that was how it seemed to be a while ago.

"Oh pleasure to meet you too. Call me Liam by the way. I am much more comfortable with it..." Lee said trying to be friendly with him. I did really love this side of Lee. That's why he has become more than a friend to me I guess. He was someone down to the earth when he was with his friends or relatives. Didn't take the damn richness stuck into his skull to fly over the sky.

"And this is my best friend Kayl-----." I said letting my gaze wander towards Kay, but a sudden scowl appeared on my face in a flash as I got to see the still agape Kay staring at Nigel with a surprised or shocked look on her face.

What the?

I nudged her in order to take her back to her senses. But she was still in her enamored posture making me nudge for one more time. In the second round she shook her head before looking at me blinking her hazy eyes... "Nigel Xander?" Those two words slipped out of her mouth.. "Is this really your Nigel?" All of a sudden she asked catching me off guard..

Damn her!

Realizing what she asked her face switched and I could literally imagine how she was mentally knocking on herself thinking of her stupidity and her never controlling mouth.. She faked a cough before stretching her hand out to him.. "I am Kayla Jackson..."
