A Lost Childhood {RE WRITTEN VERSION HAS BEEN CANCELLED!}

Chapter 7: Going Back To Ponyville

The Wonderbolts had finished their training for the upcoming show, the show was only 2 weeks away, excluding the 1-week vacation Spitfire had given them for their hard work, and the bolts had made rapid progress to which Spitfire was sure they would finish the routine before the day of the show arrived.

Rainbow Dash had finished taking a shower and was currently on her way to Spitfires office to ask if she could take a couple of days off early (before the 1-week vacation) to go tell her friends back in Ponyville about current events which had occurred over the past days. Rainbowdash had to tell her friends. How could she not?

Spitfire was currently doing paperwork, when she heard a knock her door.

"Come in." She said.

To her surprise, it was only Rainbow Dash.

"Rainbow Dash what are you doing here?" She asked.

"Why, weren't expecting me?" She cocked an eyebrow.

Spitfire lightly chuckled "Honestly no, I was expecting either Fleetfoot to come barging into my office and start complaining and whining about Lighting Streak annoying her......honestly, those two are gonna make my IQ drop" Spitfire explained, as she rubbed her forehead with her wings. "But anyways, how can I help you?" She asked politely.

"Well...umm..I know we have a one week vacation in a few days but I was wondering if I could go to ponyville today to go and tell my friends about recent events that have occurred over the past two days, I'll be back early tomorrow before the veterans come to train us....if you don't mind?" She asked cautiously.

"Hmmm.. well you and your friends are very close and to be honest you have pretty much mastered the routine for the show."she pondered " You know what, I'll allow it, go to your friends and fill them in on what happened, however, Rainbow Dash please take care out there we all know your dad is somewhere around here and if he sees you alone then he might choose to attack you" She demanded in a very serious tone.

"Yeah don't worry, Vapour Trail is heading home today as well as the recruits for their break I'll be flying with her and sky stinger so I won't be completely alone." She responded with a smile.

"Ok then, you can go back to ponyville from today" Spitfire replied.

"Thank you, Captain." Rainbowdash saluted before bolting out the door. (A/N "Bolting" "Wonderbolts" see what I did there....... *Cough* I'll go now :/ )

"I'll have to send a guard to follow her, just in case..."

Spitfire walked out to the runway, there she spotted golden sheild and approached him.

"Hey, Golden Shield," She greeted.

""Oh, hey captain," He smiled, "what do you need?"

Spitfire then explained to him how she wanted a guard to follow Dash to Ponyville to make sure she gets their safely.

Golden Sheild nodded,
"Sure thing,I can send a few."

"Thanks," Spitfire said and walked off.

"Lieutenant Shield Strike!" He called out to one of his guard.

"Yes Sir!" Strike saluted.

"Listen, I need you to follow that Rainbow maned Mare to Ponyville, but then come back as soon as she reaches the outskirts and DON'T LOOK BACK!" He commanded.

"Uhh...ok?" He saluted and flew off.

Rainbow Dash was in a locker the rooms and was packing her saddlebag. The locker room was pretty much empty most of the bolts were outside or in the leisure room. The only bolts insde the locker rooms were Blaze who seemed to be giving Fleetfoot an shoulder massage.............again and lightning streak who was, for some reason sleeping on the bench and sliver lining who was cleaning up his locker.

Rainbow Dash had just finished packing her saddlebags came out when Soarin had entered the Locker room. His mane was dripping wet, his coat was damp and he had a green towel over his shoulder. Rainbow Dash stared....and....stared until she realised that she was gawking and quickly shook her head and draped the saddlebag over her back before tightening it. The image of Soarin, wet wouldn't leave her mind as her face continued to turn a darker shade of red every second, her cheeks were so red that they would make a tomato blush itself. Rainbow Dash exited the locker rooms as she quietly let out a girly giggle.

Who would have thought, Rainbow Dash, The toughest flier in all of Equestria could be so girly and giggly.

Rainbow Dash walked out of HQ where she met Sky Stinger and Vapour Trail who greeted her happily as she approached them. " Hey, guys." Dash greeted

" Her Rainbow Dash" They both responded

"Umm so what's with all the guard?" Sky stinger asked curiously.

"Oh...there just here for patrol that's all" Rainbow Dash lied through her teeth.

"oh...ok" Vapour Trail responded, not fully convinced.

"Well let's get flying then is a Vanhoover long way from here." Sky stinger demanded. The two Mares both nodded before taking off into the direction of Ponville. Sky and Vapour both agreed to drop off Rainbow Dash to Ponyville before continuing there journey to their hometown in Vanhoover.

And with that, the three pegasi took off into the sunset sky.
