chapter 33

Matts POV:

I fell asleep beside Thalia. It was so great having her back home, and having her safe. I started thinking about everything that has happened the past couple days. It was all my fault that she was getting hurt and almost killed. I just got the thought out of my head and went to go brush my teeth. When I came back from the bathroom Thalia was sitting up on the bed and smiling. She still had sleepy eyes though, I thought it was the cutest thing :) She said "Hey handsome" and I said "Morning sunshine!" She got up and went into the shower after brushing her teeth. She came out of the bathroom in about 20 minutes.

Thalias POV:

When I got out of the shower, I got dressed into my skinny jeans, crop top, and vans. I decided to just leave my hair natural. I walked out to see Matt dressed and he said "Soo, do you wanna go on a walk?" I agreed and Matt already had my bag packed, so I just grabbed it and left. I was still kinda sore from being abused, but I tried not to let Matt notice. I just sucked it up and went on with my day. Matt and I had just been laughing and talking the whole walk. I missed this. All these little conversations we had, which always made me laugh :D I was so happy to be with him!

Matts POV:

Thalia didn't know it yet, but I was taking her to a relaxing picnic date on the beach. I packed her bag for her, so she wouldnt suspect where we were going since I had to pack her swimsuit. I covered her eyes with my hands and I guided her onto a nice shady spot on the sand. I slowly removed my hands and she covered her mouth with her hand In surprise as her eyes widened. She had a smile on her face from ear to ear. I had her sit on the blanket I had laid down and I pulled out the food I had packed for our picnic. We ate, then I had her change into her swimsuit so we could go into the water. She changed and walked out. My eyes literally popped out of my head. Her long, dark brown hair flowing in the wind, her beautiful body, and her gorgeous tan. She laid her towel down on the sand and just laid there. I said "Thalia! Come on, the water looks great!" She said "Matt, I'm just gonna lay here and tan." I wasn't going to let her just sit there and tan! I picked her up and started running to the water! She screamed "Matt! Matt! Put me down!" While pounding her fists on my back and laughing. I finally stopped and said "You want me to put you down? Okay!" and I dropped her into the water. She said "Matt!" I just sat there laughing when she tackled me into the water. I managed to swim away, out of Thalias sight. She just sat there floating on the surface of the water. I made sure I was quiet, and I picked her up and threw her into the water. She swam over to me and wrapped her legs around my waist and put her arms around my neck. I held her up by her butt. She smiled into a kiss and the moment was perfect. All the noise of all the other people on the beach seemed to disappear and it felt like we were completely alone. But, in reality, there were about 50 other people there. Soon, we got our clothes back on and started walking home. On our way home, it started pouring, out of nowhere! Thalia and I started dancing in the rain and singing songs, when she turned to me and said "Hey Matt, you know what I've always wanted to do?" and I said "What?" and she replied "I've always wanted to kiss in the rain. Like in all those cute movies!" I smiled in agreement, and moved a strand of hair from infront of her face. Then, I slowly cupped her face in my hand and leaned in. Our lips moved perfectly in sync, as we stood in the pouring rain, without a care in the world. I was really going to miss this when I broke up with her...
