chapter 53

Matts POV:

(5 years later)

Today was the big day. I woke up to see Thalia asleep next to me. She was so beautiful. We were on vacation in Venice. I got up and brushed my teeth, took a shower, then went into the kitchen to make her some breakfast. I grabbed the pancakes and sausage and started cooking. I was just about done when my princess walked into the kitchen while running her fingers through the roots of her hair and she said "What smells so good baby?" and kissed my cheek. "I made you breakfast beautiful." I said as I put the chocolate chip pancakes and her sausage onto a plate for her. "Awee baby, thank you!" she said. "Anything for my princess. I just want to make you smile." I said. She smiled at me then started eating her breakfast. "So today I was thinking we could go for a gondola ride?" I said. "Sounds great! Just let me shower and get ready and we can go." she said. A few minutes later she finished her breakfast and went to the bathroom to take her shower. While she was in there, I took out the ring I bought her. I was going to propose to her today. I hope she says yes, she makes me so happy and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I heard the water stop, and I quickly shoved the box into my sweater pocket. I walked back to the kitchen and waited for her to walk out of the bathroom. A few minutes later she walked out and she was wearing a mint green dress with different colored flowers on it. "Whoa." was all I could say. "What?" she said. "You look absolutely beautiful." I said. She smiled at me then walked back to our room.

Thalias POV:

I walked over to mine and Matts room and started applying my eye makeup. Then, I grabbed my curling iron and blow dryer. I sat infront of my mirror and started blow drying my hair. Once I was done with that, I turned my curling iron on and started curling my hair. When I was done with that, I put on my black flats and walked back to the living room and sat down next to Matt. "Ready!" I said. "Well come on gorgeous!" he said as he grabbed my hand and started walking out the door. He opened my car door for me and then got into the drivers seat. When we arrived, Matt opened my door for me again and held out his hand for me to hold. I intertwined my fingers with his and we got into a gondola and started going through the water. "You look absolutely flawless. You're so beautiful." he blurted out of nowhere. I started blushing. "You're just the sweetest thing!" I said. "I love you." he said. "I love you too." I said as he leaned in for a kiss. We talked and talked while we were on that gondola. I could never stop talking to him. He always listened and made me laugh. I love him. Soon enough we came back to shore and he helped me off of the gondola. The sun was just beginning to set as we walked along the sidewalk. "Umm Thalia? Can I ask you something?" Matt said while scratching the back of his neck. "You can ask me anything Matt." I said. Matt stood infront of me. "I think it's time for my princess, to become my queen." Matt said as he kneeled down on one knee. "Thalia, will you marry me?" he said. My hand swung to my mouth as I gasped, which then turned into a smile. "YES YES YES YES YES MATT! I LOVE YOU!" I said as he slipped the ring onto my finger and kissed me. The crazy thing is I could still feel butterflies when he kissed me. Thats how I knew I really truly loved him. He makes me feel the way no one else does.

Matts POV:

She said yes! I couldn't be any happier. The girl of my dreams, the love of my life, just agreed to marry me. I carried her all the way back to the car and we drove home. I couldn't stop smiling. I would be spending the rest of my life with this girl, and that made me feel so happy. I was so fortunate and lucky to be spending the rest of my life with a girl this amazing. And I was so fortunate that I found the one I was meant to be with. I was so fortunate to be with the one I've loved since the start. I love her with everything I've got.

So it's 5 years later and Matt and I are getting married! There is going to be one more chapter and then this fanfiction is over. I've had so much fun writing this and thanks so much for reading, voting, following and commenting!
