"OH MY GOD! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD"

I laughed when I saw Brooke jumping up and down in the middle of her bedroom. I just asked her if she would like to go to Miami with me during springbreak. And by the way she was acting I could tell she wanted to.

"OH MY GOOOOOD. WE DREAMT OF GOING TO AMERICA SINCE WE WERE LITTLE GIRLS"

"I know Brooke", I smiled.

"OH MY GOOOOOOOD. I AM SCREAMING"

"I can tell", I laughed.

"Sorry, but I am just so excited.", she said, in a normal tone now.

"Well, you didn't answer my question.... Should I take that as a no?", I teased her.

"WHAT NOOOOOOO", she screamed again. "Ask me again", she continued with a normal voice.

"Brooke Evans, would you like to go to America with me during springbreak?", I asked again.

"YESSSSS, I thought you would never ask", She shouted out, pulling me into a big hug.

"I Can't breathe", I whispered.

"Oh, sorry!", she said while she sat down on her bed. I sat down next her.

Brooke  pulled out her phone, dailed a number, and waited patiently.

Finally the one she was calling picked up the phone so she said:

"mom? mom! omg you're not gonna believe what Alice just asked me!" ..... "She asked me if I would like to go with her and Justin to Miami!" ... "What?!" .... "What do you mean: 'I can't go' "

No, she had to come with me!

"But please mom"

"Yeah talk to you later" my friend said, I could tell she was close to crying.

"You can't come?", I asked disappointed.

"They don't know yet... She has to talk with my dad first. But she will be home in five minutes. She is doubting because if I go with you I can't spend my birthday with them."

"So? Me neither"

"And she said she wants an adult to come with me."

"Justin is 20"

"I know... Goddamit, if they don't let me go, I'm gonna be depressed."

"You still have to tell me how your date with Justin was yesterday?", Brooke asked, "did anything juicy happen?"

"We went out for dinner, after that we walked to the beach", I said.

"That's all?", Brooke frowned. "Nothing more romantic like a serenade for example?"

"Well... Justin did give me this", I said, showing her my ring.

"WHAT?!", Brooke was shouting again, "HE PROPOSED TO YOU?!"

"What did you say? Did you say yes? Or did you say no? I wouldn't have known what to say if I were you. Yes, because let's face it, he is the love of your life or no, because you are still so young? Soooooo what did you say?", Brooke rambled on.

"I didn't say yes or no bec-", I started.

"What? You didn't give that poor guy an answer? Come on, Alice!", Brooke frowned.

"I didn't say yes or no because he didn't propose."

"He didn't?", Brooke frowned again.

"No, he didn't. This is a Promise Ring", I explained.

"Oh my god, that's even more romantic", Brooke sighed.

"It was....", I sighed, "At the beach he got down on one knee and he was so nervous, it was so cute. I started freaking out because I didn't know what to say when he would have proposed. But then he started telling me how much he loved me and how grateful he was that I was his One Less Lonely Girl. He promised me to always love me and that he would marry me one day"

"Oh my god, you guys are so cute", Brooke sighed again.

"Did you cry? Did he cry?", Brooke asked.

"We did both cry, yes", I chuckled.

"He's so sensitive, what a cutie", Brooke let her inner Belieber came out for a second.

"Show me your ring again. Wow it's so beautiful", Brooke admired the ring Justin gave me.

"It is, isn't, I love it", I smiled, looking down at my hand. I swore I would never take it off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me, Brooke and her parents were sitting around the dinnertable.
"So, Alice, you asked our Brooke to go to Miami this Springbreak?" Her dad asked.
"Uhm, yeah... Justin suggested she could come with us"
"So Justin Bieber is taking two young girls with him to America?"
"Yeah"
"Is there any adult going?"
"Justin is 20 dad", Brooke spoke for the first time.
"Well, I don't like him and I don't trust him being around my daughter. I don't know what your parents our thinking. Letting their daughter date him. He is trouble." My blood started boiling.
"Mr Rivers, with all due of respect but can you please not speak about him like that? My parents do trust him and love him. And you know why? Because they know the real him. So please, stop judging him if you don't know him." I spoke, "if you now want to excuse me."
I stood up and was already walking out their kitchen when Brooke's mom said: "wait, Alice! I am sorry if my husband upsetted you. Please sit back down, so we can talk about it like adults."
When she said «adults» she looked directly at her husband. I nodded, walked back to my spot next to Brooke and sat down.
"So, since Justin is an adult and he travelled the world for many years, I believe he is responsable enough to take care of you, Brooke. And you know what? You are turning 17 in a few days so I think you are responsable enough too. So, when does your plane take off?" Mrs.Rivers said. Mine and Brooke's eyes widened.
"Omg mum! Or you saying I can go"
"Yes, sweetie, you better start packing."
"Thank you so much mom!", we both stood up and give her a hug. When we pulled away Brooke said: "Dad?"
"Do what your mom said. If she trusts him, I do too. Come on! Go and have the time of your life!", I could tell he was trying the hardest to put a real smile on his face. "Oh and Alice? I sorry about what I said earlier"
"It's okay", I said.
"No it's not. You were right, I don't really know him so I shouldn't have judged him."
