Chapter 44

*May 2017*

She broke up with me", my best friend cried through my phone as soon as I picked up.

"Wait...What?", I was lost for words. Julia broke up with him? Why? They were so in love.

"She broke up with me", He sobbed again. He was clearly devastated.

"I'm so sorry for you... And did she tell you why?", I carefully asked.

"Yeah... She's been seeing someone since last month. She's been cheating on me since"

I didn't now what to say, they had been dating for over a year now and they were so happy. At least they seemed happy. The two met through mutual friends.  He fell head over heals for her. At first she kept her guards up but eventually she gave up and let herself fall in love with him. My best friend loved Julia with his entire heart. More then once he had told me she was the one for him. And I was happy for him, happy he found someone who made him feel so loved.

"Oh my god...", I gasped, I didn't think Julia was that kinda girl.

"Can you please come over? I need you here right now", my best friend asked.

"Ofcourse Niall, I'll be there as soon as possible", I promised.

Niall and me became friends after Justin introduced us to eachother, shortly after One Direction went on a break. Funny enough, Naill had always been my favorite of the boyband, not that I was big fan of them. Hey, don't judge me, I was a Belieber!

"Thank you", Niall said before hanging up.

"Justiiiiiiin", I yelled from the living room.

A few seconds later my boyfriend came running into the room: "What? What's wrong? Are you alright?"

"Yes I am alright", I reassured him.

"Why were you yelling then? You scared me", he sighed, running his fingers through his hair.

"You were? You're so cute", I chuckled, wrapping my arms around his waist.

"Niall just called", I said.

"Oh really how is he?", Justin asked pulling me closer.

"Julia broke up with him."

"No way! Why?" , Justin's eyes widened in shock.

"She's been cheating on him."

"Oh no... Poor Niall. Why would she do that?"

"I have no idea, he was always so good to her.", I sighed, "You should've heard him... He's heartbroken"

"Yeah, I would be too if I were him", Justin said.

"I kinda promised him I would go and meet him", I informed Justin, not sure he would be happy with this.

"Now? But what about our date tonight? I was really looking forward to it", he frowned.

"Justin...He's devastated. He's my best friend, I need to be there for him.", I tried reasoning with him.

"It's fine.", Justin said letting go of me and starting to leave the kitchen. I quickly grabbed his wrist to stop him.

"Jay, come on, don't be mad. I get that you are disappointed but you need to understand me too. Please?"

"Like I said: it's fine. Just go and be a good friend for Niall.", Justin told me and it was obvious he was still pretty pissed off about me cancelling our date.
