-Lot's of all the time skips to the lab-

"Clearance please?" A woman in Casual marine armor asks me.

"Okay listen, I don't have clearance. But," I start to say.

"Continue," She says crossing her arms.

"Well I'd just like to have this examined," I say pulling out the syringe, "I recovered a sample while out on my last operation."

"Okay well go in because, I don't know what to do with that," She says letting me pass inside.

"Alright thank you," I say trying to sound polite.

"Yeah whatever.." She murmurs slumping against the wall.

As I enter it feels a lot cooler inside of the lab. Looking up I realize this lab is a lot more complex than I previously thought.

On a electric sign above me reads "Office of Naval Intelligence" or ONI for short.

There's a lot of people sitting at desks wearing white while operating computers.

I kind of stand and stare at all of this. I start to wonder around until I find a sign which reads Kig-yar Examination Center.

I shrug and enter through the sliding door which I am met by a bit warmer climate.

In the middle of the room, in a blue liquid filled tank, is a Jackel floating inside.

"What the?" I whisper to myself.

"Ooo hello!" Another lady this time in white comes up and says to me.

"Uh hi?" I kinda ask back.

"What brings you In here?" She asks still a little excitement in her voice.

"Well I was wondering if-"

"Oh you're in the wrong room for that little vial of blood you got there but if you want to talk about the Kig-yar or maybe some of their weapons I'm here!" She yells excited again.

A man walks up behind her, "Don't mind her, she's gets worked up about new people. If you're looking to get that DNA genetically scanned you'll need to go to the Sangheili section."

"I uhh? Y-yeah okay." I manage to stutter. I'm way in over my head. I think to myself.

"Well have a nice evening," He says turning around and starts walking away taking the woman with him.

"Yup." I walk back out through the sliding door into the colder lab section.

Further more wondering gets me to find the room I'm looking for.

Going inside it's even warmer than the normal base itself.

"Hello shizno," I hear it before I see it.

"Oh what the hell?!" I yell because standing there is a Elite wearing the same white the scientists are wearing. "You work here?!"

"Yes? Is that a problem?" His unhuman voice says speaking English.

"Uhh, I guess not," I say just getting used to how calm everyone is about him in here.

"So what do you need shizno?" He asks turning back to some test tubes he seems to be working on.

"I just need this analyzed," I say putting the syringe on the metal counter he's working on.

"And what is this?" He says picking up the syringe and examining it.

"I recovered this on my last mission I had. It seemed odd that there was such heavy resistance from the Covenant." I explain to him.

"Okay but why do you want this analyzed? It'll take up my time if its not worth your while." He asks looking over it.

"There was Elite's in golden armor, that's something rare," I state.

"Uh-huh. Alright I guess I'll send it through," He says looking back at me "But it better lead to something."

"Yeah well I'm hoping so. I seem to always have a lucky find," I say half to myself.

"Alright well now is your time to leave shizno. I've got work to do," he says making his way to the other side of the room.

"Alright I guess," I say now fully to myself as I walk out.

"Alright, that was something."

Hehehehe sorry but this chapter is shorter than usual. And don't you dare say that one line Cade! That's not a sexual comment!
