Chapter Thirty-Six "Friendly fire is on"

Yang then glares at the Marine and he steps away frightened.

"Ying. You can leave now," I talk harshly to Yang as I approach.

She now, turns her glare to me. Instead of backing away I continue walking up to her.

I pull the SPNKR from my back and drop it to the ground. 

"So we can do this the easy or the-"

*Ding!*

A echoey clash of metal on energy rings out into the air.

I glare at Ying as I block her sword with my knife, "Guess its the other one."

We both step back after the clash and glare with our melees at the ready. 

I flip my knife around in my hand while its behind my back, and in a quick motion I rush forward and strike upwards only to get deflected. But with my left hand that is free I swing to the right only to get blocked by her free arm as well.

I push off and then swing to the right with the knife, she blocks it and returns with a spin slash, which without my speed unit I probably wouldn't of been able to dodge.

She now takes the front and swings to the side.

"Woop!" I drop to the ground to dodge the attack. Before I could get up Ying steps on top of my chest and forces me back to the ground while aiming her sword at me.

She growls lowly as she still glares at me like some sort of animal watching a prey.

"Yeah how about no," I grab her by the leg and before she could react I drag her on to the ground.

I flip on top of her and without mercy I deliver blow on blow. But she continues to block with her arms and before I could even come close to breaking her shield, she manages to kick me off and get back up.

Now both of us watch each other again. "Could you just not right now?" I ask cracking my neck.

All she does is snarl which just leaves me to assume that it's a no.

I shrug as I watch her pull out the other sword. This time the more deadlier one. Black.

I step back and into a crouching-ish position. I'm getting ready to have to counter a attack if it comes.

But I don't have to wait long because since Ying is a bit more in a fury state. As she rushes at me I put my hands out.

As she jabs straight forward I take hold of her wrist and twist it, throwing it upwards I utilize my left arm and jab her in the stomach.

She winces back as I break her shield from the blow. Then with even more anger she comes at me again.

First a punch that I block quickly and then a knee that I wasn't watching for which makes me flinch back. 

She swings to the left with the sword and I turn my head to dodge then another attack from the right which I step back from. Lunging again at me she swings once more. This attack would of been a kill shot if again it wasn't for my speed unit I created. The sword's tip scratches along the surface of my VISR leaving a mark where it hit.

I put a hand on the scratch to make sure it didn't cut too deep, it didn't. "Fine, we'll play like that."

I look behind me and roll towards my knife picking it up and landing back on my feet.

Both of our shields have regenerated now as I swivel around to put my blade up to stop her from slicing straight down on top of me. Another echoey clash and then I swing to the right which causes her to have to duck and before I could react while she was down there she launches a leg into my jaw.

Thrown aback and stunned with my helmet that has been kicked off and launched into the distance and onto the ground. Through my blurred vision I can see Ying pick up my knife and look up at me.

I put my hands up still ready to fight. Shaking my head to try to knock off the blurriness I mutter, "Hope this actually works.."

Ying jumps at me and just split seconds before she would've hit I use both of my powers, a holographic image of me takes my old place and I speed my way towards the side of it.

She drops onto the fake hologram and I take my chance to kick her in the chest which kills her shield again.

She almost immediately lands back onto her feet and even though I have the speed advantage she gets the front and lands three punches followed by an elbow which breaks my shield and then some.

Even with the majority advantage on my side I can feel something pierce my lower side.

Pain only lasts for a second and then I feel myself surge with my own energy. 

Even though I was just stabbed by Ying with my own knife I bring both of my fists down at full force and slam her into the ground followed by a kick which sends her a few yards. 

I stand watching her as she lies there not getting up, or moving at all.

I step back and look down at myself, a little blood is visible but I don't feel anything.

"Oh well. Tis be a flesh wound," I say to myself. I look around at everyone but actually it doesn't seem like anybody noticed the fight.

Sparky is working on repairing the base, Nick is over next to a Marine that is- oh shoot -impaled on a rock! I sprint over leaving a small trail of blood in my path.

I'll leave Yang to recover from what happened, I'd rather not disturb her. Or, her evil side.

"AHHHHH!"
