Chapter Thirteen "Operation Wildfire"

34 Pov

I hand Sandman's magnum back to him.

"You realize that probably got their attention," He says wasting a whole clip and putting a new one in.

"Oh but that's the plan. In fact, let's get even more of their attention," I say evilly, signalling Sparky over here.

"Uhh yeah?" Sparky asks double triple checking he has a mag in.

"We're gunna need your blowtorch," I tell him.

"What we torching then?" He says activating his arm blowtorch.

"The tree's. It's best we draw them from their cover," I tell him glancing over my shoulder to double check the Warthog's are still there.

"So start a forest fire?" Sparky asks sarcastically and and annoyed.

"I mean, yeah. And we have vehicles anyways. We'll be fiiine," I say walking over to one of the Warthog's and getting in the driver seat activating ignition. "Just light it up!" 

"This is your fault if something goes wrong," He says burning some tree's along the edge of the DZ.

"Alright I'm taking shotgun," 5000 says sitting in the passenger seat of my Warthog.

"Alright, I'm taking gunner!" Yells Sparky jumping away from the fire and onto our vehicle.

"Okay strap in!" I say driving towards the others. "Get in the other Warthog!" 

Nick Pov

"Get in the other Warthog!" 34 yells at us.

"Alright but I'm taking the Turret!" Sandman says jumping onto the back.

"Uh-huh.." Yang quietly says seating herself into the passenger spot.

"That leaves me as a driver," I say basically to myself sitting into the driver seat, and turning the keys.

The Warthog's headlights well, light up. I hit the pedal and we're speeding off behind 34 and them.

(34: Driver. 5000: Passenger. Sparky: Gunner) (Nick: Driver. Yang: Passenger. Sandman: Gunner)

PLAY THE MUSIC NOW!!

"I'm seeing movement!" Sparky yells over the radio.

The fire is getting bigger and bigger by the second as we drive away.

"Crap! This is a too lush of an environment!" 34 yells as the fire is literally at this point chasing us.

Just then some Ghost's burst out of the trees behind us and my Warthog is in the back.

"Guys shoot them!" I yell driving actually pretty well for my first time on one of these.

"On it!" Sandman yells spinning up the Chain-gun aiming at one of the two Ghosts. 

"I'll help too." Yang says standing up in her seat and pulling out a Spike grenade.

The fire is catching up slowly. Crap

"We've got Skirmishers up ahead!" 34 informs us loudly.

The Ghosts are now firing as well as the Jackals up ahead. Sandman is focusing on the ghost closest to us.

"Watch your head!" Yang yells throwing a Spike grenade over Sandman's head and landing on the front of a ghost.

Upon exploding, the Ghost and the Driver in it get stalled and engulfed in flames from the following wall of flames.
