Taking one more check on my gear I set out down the street. I already hear gunshots from off way in the distance. Sounds like, shotguns. I step around a dead body that looks badly burnt from the waist up. I continue down the way and finally reach a four way intersection on the street. Up ahead is the burning flames.

I spot what it is and rush towards the smoke and fire but I stop before I realize exactly what it is.

"Yang," I gasp and step back. I stare at the pod for sometime unable to unlock my gaze. Its Yang's pod, that's what's on fire. Sometimes I believe that these kind of causalities and accidents would never happen to me. Because, because I feel invincible as the leader, the loner, and every all of the above. But after seeing this, I need to remember.

Maybe soon I'll die, or, even worse someone else goes down around me. I look down at the ground in front of the pod. Just barely sticking out from under the pod door and from the fire is a Beam Rifle. Filled with grief I yank on the weapon and it falls out and into the fire, which I quickly step into to recover the memento.

I grab it and back out looking down at my armor which is burnt black at my legs and down.

"I'm gunna need new armor," I murmur to myself and look back up at the orange bright light that the flames produce. I kneel down and set the white and purple Beam Rifle down. Looking at it holding in my everything, "I was supposed to protect you.."

"I'm sorry."

"So everyone is here. Good."

"Yeah but what are we supposed to do? Just walk around and kill everything we see?" 5000 asks looking around quickly.

"Our mission was to eliminate all Covenant on the ground level. So, yes?" Sparky responds to 5000 as we all sneak down the street and towards what might be a Covenant settlement.

I draw my pistols and keep myself against the wall of a building that the top of I can't see from on ground. But what I can see is movement up ahead, dark figures move up ahead. But I've had my fair amount of stealth to know what I'm doing. "You both move up from the left I'm taking the right upper path," and with that I separate by crouching up the steps of a stone structure. I reach the top of the steps and the rain becomes a bit harsher, but I can still tell what this is. Its a road overpass. A t-section but part of it goes over the other.

*Crash!* *Boom!*

I tense up and can see only a second but the blue light of the lightning gives me a good enough perspective of what I'm up against. Whispers over the radio comes silently, "I'm gunna take this one out," and with that an Elite's yelp sounds out and the two figures in front of me look to the other side. Sparky and 5000 both start firing at enemies distracting even more of the fleet, and hiding the splat of my footsteps on the rain as I sprint towards the two Elites that are side by side and shooting Plasma Rifles at the them. I slide with the rain as a way to make the slide gain more acceleration, then I jump up bringing both legs up to my chest. Then in midair I launch both legs into the heads of the Elites. The sudden force knocks both of them off their feet and shieldless on the concrete.

Without aiming I take both of them out with one shot from each pistol then bringing the pistols in front of me I aim down with both and run forward. I take down a Jackal and continue speed walking towards the two that have killed the other Covies.

"All dead?" I ask continuing to jog up to the two.

"I think we got em," 5000 answers with his normal deep voice.

"My radar is still showing targets thou-" Sparky stops and falls to the ground needles sticking out of their back.

"Crap get to cover!" I dodge behind a potted tree and aim my pistols over the top of the concrete pot, firing blindly my pistols end up making clicking sounds after a good amount of shots. While I reload I look around, 5000 is on the other side of the road but I don't see any movement.

"I'm moving up to Sparky," I end up saying a lot louder than I meant to but I move up to Sparky's body crouching down. "Sparky. Hey Sparky," I flip him over and look down at his helmet.

"What? What is it?." He whines sounding like he just woke up from sleep.

"You don't know what happened. Okay," I tell him and look around in the dark but still sees nothing as the rain continues to rain harshly.

"No, I tripped. I think? No."

"Yeah I know just-"

"Watch out!" Sparky kicks me off of him and an Energy Sword flies by my face and missed barely. "Invisible! Their invisibl-"

"Sparky? 5000?" I step back as Sparky gets thrown against a wall and the sword comes back on glowing in the night. "Crap.."

I look up to the sky and step back.

"I know its hard. I'm sorry."

"Please don't say sorry anymore. Its getting annoying," I tell Dillan and pick my SAW holstering it on my back while stomping off.

"Don't tell me what's annoying because you're the definition of annoying," Dillan snaps back at me and cracks her knuckles from clenching her fists.

"Well sorry that I can't be in a happy mood!"

"I can say the goddamn same!"
