Survival
Chapter: Thirty-Three
"Come on, lets dance! " Emma screams in my ear. The commotion hear is so noisy.
We hit the dance floor and apparently Katie has become part of Our Group. Emma dances; and I attempt to "dance." Emma's quite the dance, me not no good with the footwork.
I'm not sure if Emma is starting to feel the effect of the tequila, or she's just really happy. But she's obviously full of zest.
My watch reads 3:21 AM and I still don't want to leave. It's way too fun, here. Even though I haven't drank too many shots, the effect of the tequila is starting to kick in. I hate this feeling. I feel like my brain is jumping, running and punching me from the inside of my head.
"Hey, Adam!"
"What Emma."
"I'm having a great time."
"So am I."
"You know, I've never known another cool person besides Stephanie in my life."
"Same here. Emma, your the reason I'm been looking for all this time."
"Thank you," she says.
"Why the thank you?" I ask.
"Because your the reason I've been looking for, too."
My heart stops beating. For me, the music, the noise, the people around me has disappeared. Only Emma and I are the only existing humans right now. The planet is empty, except for us.
The only thing I do is stare into her eyes. I am lost in them, and she is lost in mine.
I. Start. Leaning. Towards. Her.
But the moment is ruined.
"HEY, GUYS!" Katie tells out loud.
Fuck you, Katie.
"Who wants the lost shot." She holds a small glass, full of tequila.
"I'll fucking take it," I say. I'm a little pisses that Katie has ruined the moment. Once I drink the shot, I feel like like a billions of lightning bolts traveling through my body. My body is filled with energy! As if I just drank a millions of energy drinks.
"What the fuck is in this drink?"
"Tequila," Katie says. "Oh, yeah. I also put an ecstasy pill, you are going to have the night of your life."
