Damian was unaware of what the presence of one person could do to someone else. He knew that certain people were able to lift the spirits of others. Like his brother Dick; Dick made many people happy, sometimes he even managed to make Damian happy as well. But that was just who Dick was: an uplifting person.

Damian couldn't think of anyone else who was able to do what Dick did to others. He tried to think of a list of people, but soon gave up and decided Dick Grayson was the only one who could do such a thing.

Then there was Jon Kent. Damian didn't realize that Jon was capable of doing the same thing as Grayson; that was until Jon made Damian's bad day get much better.

Damian had received a harsh lecture from his father that had left the boy infuriated. After he had enough of his father's lecture, he decided to go on a ride on his motor bike, in attempt to calm himself down. He drove for nearly 2 hours, unaware of where he planned on stopping. It wasn't until Damian had reached the familiar farm, that he realized he was where he needed to be.

Damian walked towards the window and began to throw pebbles at it, soft enough that they wouldn't break it.

He listened carefully and then heard the footsteps of what he hoped was the younger boy.  He looked up and saw that the curtains were now slightly opened; in between them stood a messy haired super boy.

It took a while for him to notice that it was Damian who had been throwing the pebbles at his window. As soon as he realized it was him, he opened the window.

"What are you doing here?" Jon yawned.

Damian didn't respond. Instead, he climbed up the tree near the window and then inside of Jon's room.

Jon could tell that something had been off. From the way that Damian's jaw was clenched to the fact that he hadn't teased him about  his pajamas.

"Are you okay?" Jon asked.

Once again, Damian didn't respond. He just looked at the floor.

"Damian please tell me. I don't like seeing you this way." Jon said softly.

'Father', was all Damian muttered. Both boys were now silent. Damian continued to look at the floor, feeling stupid for coming to the Kent household. It wasn't until he felt arms around his body that he no longer felt stupid. He felt warm. Not a physical warm you feel, but an internal warmth, a sort of fuzzy feeling.

Jon mumbled something against Damian's shoulder, but was to focus on the fact that jon was hugging him to notice.

Damian hummed in response, to show that he had not been listening. Jon pulled back from the hug and then repeated himself.

"I asked if you wanted to talk about it. I mean you don't have to, if you don't want to." Jon said.

"I don't want to." Damian glumly spoke.

"You're staying here tonight. I don't want you to go back there." Jon blurted.

Damian nodded his head, still shocked at the fact that Jon hugged him.

"I'm going to get you something more comfortable from my closet so you can sleep." Jon said. He came back a few moments later with a pair of shorts and a shirt for Damian.

"Climb in when you're done getting dressed." Jon informed, as he crawled into his bed.

Damian got dressed and then did as told.

"Goodnight Damian." Jon yawned as he began to curl up to Damian's side.

Just as Damian began to fall asleep, he remembered that people are capable of making others feel a certain way. He contemplated that for a while and then came to a conclusion that Grayson was no longer the only one capable of making him feel a certain way: Jon could do it to. A feeling he was unable to describe.
