It had been a long night on patrol. One of the longest patrols Damian had been on in a while. A patrol that had involved two car chases, a stakeout, and a quick run in with some of his fathers enemies. It was no surprise that Damian was extremely tired.

As soon as he reached the cave, Damian wasted no time in giving Alfred nor his father a goodnight. He made his way to his room and shut the door behind him, glad to have made it back alive.

After he had finally removed all his armor and changed into his pajamas, Damian made his way towards his bed. He pulled off the first blanket and crawled in. As he began to feel at ease, Damian's peace was interrupted by the sound of his phone going off. Part of him wanted to throw his phone into the wall and deal with the situation in the morning, but the other part of him saw the "Superbrat would like to FaceTime" notification and thought against it. He pressed his finger to the green call button.

As the call began to connect Damian realized that it was 3 in the morning: a whole 5 hours past Jon's bed time.  When it finally connected, Damian's screen was welcomed by a fluffy haired boy who was obviously hiding underneath his covers.

"What could you possibly want this late? Its 3 in the morning kent, it better be important." Damian groaned.

"Uh Damian... I think there's something in my house." Jon gulped.

Although he didn't want to show it, Damian was now worried about Jon. Most of the time when Jon was scared, he'd put it off and tell Damian the next time he saw him, even if it gave Damian another way to tease him. He never called him; he knew something was wrong this time.

"What do you mean you think there's something in your house?" Damian questioned.

"I- I uh I heard something moving downstairs. My parents aren't home and kyrpto is up in my room. I think he's scared too." Jon squeaked.

"Jon, with your superhearing, what you heard is probably just the sound of a country mice outside your house. Now if you don't mind I should be getting to-"

A crash was heard on the other side of the phone, causing both boys to jump.

"DAMIAN I DON'T THINK THATS A MICE!" Jon spluttered. Damian could hear kyrpto begin to whine in the background.

"I'm on my way. Just stick it out for twenty minutes." Damian said.

"T-twenty minutes with some demon downstairs?!? You better make it 15!" Jon whimpered.

"TT" was all Damian said before hanging up the call.

He didn't care about what he was wearing at the time. All that matter was Jon was in danger and he needed help. With that being the case, Damian ran downstairs in his pajamas and started his motorcycle, planning the fastest route to the Kent's house.

Jon was still underneath his bedsheet, this time with a whining krypto curled up in his lap.

"Shh kyrpto it'll be alright boy. Damian's on his way. Plus I'm here to keep you safe." Jon whispered softly to his furry friend.

As Jon continued to comfort kyrpto, he heard a knock at his window that made him jump. Krypto began to whine and bark once more.

Jon walked to the window and pulled the blinds apart slowly. He squinted his eyes, not wanting to face something paranormal on the other side.

"it's just me you imbecile." Damian spoke from the other side of the window, which made his words sound mumbled.

In relief, Jon opened the window. Damian crawled in and was welcomed by a growling krypto.
