"When you said you were taking me to a concert... I was expecting this type of concert." Jon admitted.
There he and Damian were, fully dressed in tuxes, making their way into their box of the theatre.
"Well what other concert would I have taken you to?" Damian said. Both boys began to take their seats.
"Any other concert that doesn't involve music from 200 years ago. Seriously, you listen to this kind of stuff?" Jon asked.
"I will have you know that this kind of 'stuff', is timeless.the fact that I have found an orchestra worthy of our time and able to play such difficult pieces is extraordinary." Damian huffed.
The lights in the box began to dim, signaling that the concert was about to begin.
"I would have rather seen the mick-" Jon was interrupted.
"Shh. You don't speak during concerts. You may not like it, but you at least must have proper etiquette and manners. Now pay attention corn cob."
Jon sighed in defeat. THere he was, spending a Saturday night that could have been spent playing video games, at a concert in shoes that were far too uncomfortable and a tie that was practically choking him.
The lights had been officially dimmed out by now. The conductor came out, a spotlight signaling his arrival;the crowd began to applaud him. He gave a simple smile before raising his arms. The curtains followed his movements and there before everyone was the orchestra. He took a deep breath before pulling at baton and moving his arm in a 3/4, the orchestra following his directions.
Damian looked admirably down onto the stage while Jon could careless about what was happening.
After what Jon thought was the beginning of the intermission , he checked his watch. 8:00. He couldn't believe it: he and Damian had only been there for 10 minutes. Another hour had to pass before the concert had officially ended.
"Damian." Jon groaned.
Damian payed no attention whatsoever to the very bored boy next to him.
"Dami..." Jon repeated. If he was annoyed, he was going to make sure that Damian would be annoyed as well.
"Dai-"
"Shh!" Damian interrupted.
Jon sighed once more and looked forward to the stage in front of him.
Around what he believed (and hoped) was four songs later, Jon had come to the conclusion that the only way to pass the time would be by taking a nap. As soon as his eyes began to shut his eyes, the violins has started to play even louder. Part of him wanted to throw his hands in the air walk out, but the other part of him knew how rude that would be.
He began thinking of other things to take his mind off the orchestra in front of him. Things such as: I wonder what's krypto is doing? Not at a boring concert, that's what he's not doing. I wish I was krypto. All krypto does is sleep, play, and occasionally fly when he's up to it. Krypto is a good-
Jon was interrupted once again by the sound of coming from the orchestra . This time, the music coming from the orchestra wasn't annoying; it was different. He sat up properly as his ears perked to listen to the music.
He realized it had not only been the incredible music coming from the orchestra, but the fact that Damian's hand could be found in his, that had taken him out of his krypto-related thoughts. His heart began to pound; he could feel his cheeks redden at the contact.
Although he had a million questions for Damian and his action, he knew two things. One: you do not speak during a concert. Two: if he were to bring up the whole "hand holding" situation right now, Damian would let go; the one thing he didn't want.
Jon moved his attention back to the musicians infront of him as an attempt to hide the smile placed on his face.

When the final chord had played, the whole crowd, including Damian and Jon, stood up and applauded. He sat back down and frowned realizing that he Damian's hand was no longer had an excuse to hold Damian's hand. Oh how he wished the concert and the hand holding would have lasted much longer.
Both boys began to make their way out into the hallway of the theatre. Since they had been all the way at the top, they were the last and only ones left in the hall way.
"Were you bored?" Damian asked.
"At first i was, but then the music they were playing became somewhat better. It wasn't quite as bad as I imagined." Jon said truthfully.
"Good. I'm glad you enjoyed some part of it. Especially since I got us tickets for another one. I promise you that one will be much more entertaining than this one"
As they began walking towards the exit of the building, Jon and Damian's hand brushed against each other.
Instead of moving it away, Jon somehow managed to build up the courage to intertwine his fingers with Damian's.
For a few moments, Damian did nothing.
"Aha." Damian said, before he intertwined his fingers with Jon as well. He hid his smile in Jon's shoulder.
"Aha to you too" Jon responded.
They made their way out into the street, with their hands intertwined and a better appreciation for musicians.
