Haydrian sat down in art and smiled. He had a good feeling about this lesson. The teacher stood at the front, droning on in the background. Haydrian heard something about 'real life drawing' and 'start', so he bagn flipping through his sketchbook.
There were old sketches of a sleeping Iyden, drawings of their garden, a mug...
He looked around for inspiration, and at first, could see none. The eisles were placed in a boring position, and his imagination had run dry to just make something up. He liked how the light caught the painbrushes by the window, but he'd already made a smiliar drawing earlier that week...
He suddenly saw something that caught his eye.
A girl.
She had a gentle face, soft, with a curved nose, and tumbling dark, curly hair that fell in ringlets around her chest. Haydrian tried to breathe but couldn't: she was beautiful.
He positioned himself so that he could just see her face from his desk, and started to sketch. His hands glidded over the paper, he could feel the small indents that he made as he pressed a little harder, darkening her curls, making them come to life, and adding some depth to her eyes.
She turned around and smiled at him.
His heart fluttered.

"Hi, Haydrian."
Haydrian turned around to see the girl he'd drawn in art class standing in front of him, smiling widely and holding her sketch book close to her chest. Her body was curvy, waist small and it made Haydrian go fuzzy. Her face was pale and had minimal makeup on, eyes wide and a clear, pretty blue. She was wearing her uniform neatly, her skirt about two inches above her knees, and her tie was on properly.
"Um, hi." he replied, putting on a small smile. He fiddled with his tie awkwardly and the hem of his white shirt was fraying a little.
"I'm Alannah-Thea," she said, sitting down next to him. "I'm in your art class."
"Yes, I know..." Haydrian laughed a little, blushing at the thought of her knowing he'd drawn her.
"You drew me today." she giggled, and Haydrian went bright red. Sink through the floor, he thought to himself, die of embarassment!
"Oh...yeah, I did..."
"I think that's cute."
"R-really?"
"Yes, it's so sweet! I don't know why you drew me though, I'm not pretty..."
"I-I think you are." Haydrian spluttered, and clapped a hand over his mouth. "Oh, I'm sorry, that didnt mean...I didnt mean, well, I did I s'pose, but..."
"Hush..." Alannah whispered, putting a finger to his mouth to silence him. She leaned forward slowly, and then kissed him.
Haydrian's head spun as she unlocked their lips.
"C-c-can I take you out on a date, p-please?" Haydrian asked, feeling foolish. Was that how you were meant to ask?
Alannah blushed furiously and giggled.
"Yes." she replied, and reached for his hand.
