Nineteen ~ Nick

Zack beamed and left the room, "Then let's go!" He shouted to Pierce and I.

Pierce groaned and looked at me, his expression clearly showing that he was pissed and didn't want to go. "Why are you making me do this, again?" He whined.

"Because," I said pushing my body off the bed, "You guys need to make up, and you know it."

Pierce shut his eyes and laid his head on a pillow, "He doesn't deserve to be forgiving," He muttered under his breath.

I shook my head and rolled my eyes in annoyance. I know that what had happen to Pierce was really bad and probably scarred but I felt bad for Zack. He was trying hard to have Pierce forgive him.

"Come on," I pouted and tried pulling Pierce off of the bed.

He groaned and got up, walking towards his closet. "He's practically bribing me," He growled and pulled out a grey jacket.

He was right. Ice cream wasn't the best solution, but it was a way for them to hang out and talk.

After he slid the jacket on, we walked out of the room and to the front door, finding Zack standing there, smiling. "You guys ready?" He asked happily and opened the door.

I nodded and Pierce stayed quiet, glaring at the ground. Slightly elbowing him, his head shot up and he put on a fake smile, "I'm as ready as I'll ever be," He said through his teeth.

Zack nodded and let us go out first. As we walked to his car I looked at Pierce with pleading eyes, "Please, just be nice to him," I asked softly.

        He sighed, "Fine."

I smiled and we got into Zack's car. Pierce sat in the back with me, so Zack was alone in the front.

It was a silent ride. Every now and then, Zack would ask one of us a question, simply questions like 'how have you been lately'. The silence made the ride seem much longer.

I began to daze off in thought, until Zack stopped the car, making me jolt forward.

        "We're here!" Zack practically sang.

I looked out the window and saw a small building with a sign that read 'You Swirl'. The building was a pale yellow, it seemed old and familiar. I stared out the window a while longer until it came to me.

My dad used to take me here.

I know I was only four, but I remember clearly. After he came home from work on Fridays, he would come home, pick me up, and we would come here. We always got the same thing, two vanilla cones, I always got the kiddie size since I was small. Dad always got a large. We also sat in the same booth every time, the largest one in the corner, even though it was only two of us. I remember asking him why mom never came with us, and he would tell me the same thing every time, "We are always with her. Let's just have some man to man time."

I smiled at the thought of the memory. It was the only nice thing I remember about my father.

We all got out of the car and headed for the entrance. Zack opened the door, letting Pierce and I enter first. The place smelt of chocolate and fruit. Small children kept running around, switching from one seat to another. There were a few couples, sitting next to each other sharing their frozen treat.

"What do you wan-" Pierce began to say but stopped.

I glanced at him to see his expression sort of shocked and timid. His eyes were staring off at something. I turned my gaze towards to where he was looking, only to see two older teenagers. One was way taller than the other, had a nice muscular build with dark hair. He also had snake bites and tattoos on his left arm, a few showing on his chest, making him look intimidating, and scary.
