Zach

After filling the duffle bag full of clothes, I zipped it up and quickly made my way back to the living room. I grabbed my phone and went out the front door.

What was Nick planning on doing? Hurting himself? Doing something that could possibly kill him? I can't think about that stuff, it will only make me worry more. I need to be strong and know he is going to be okay.

As I was walking to my car, I heard a voice calling out behind me, a voice that could only belong to Pierce.

"Zack! Stop! Where are you going?" He asked, his voice sounding panicky.

"Florida. Stay at a friends house okay? I'll call you when I get there," I replied, sounding rushed,

without looking at him. I do feel bad just leaving him like this and not explaining, but this is the only affordable way for me to actually get to Florida, and I care so much about Nick, I can't have anything bad happen.

I got inside the car and glanced out the window, only to see Pierce's expression was showing that he was worried some. "Why are you going to Florida?" He said, sounding muffed through the shut door.

I rolled the window down and sighed while turning on the ignition, "I'm sorry, Pierce, but I have to get going. I'll explain later."

Pierce looked down and nodded, understanding.  "Okay," he muttered quietly, "I'll miss you."

I smiled slightly, "I'll miss you too."

Before I could drive off, Pierce quickly stopped me, "Zack, can you please do me a favor?"

I bit my lip impatiently, "What is it?"

Pierce stared at the ground, swaying on the heels of his feet, "If you see Nick, can you tell him I'm sorry for everything?" He asked hopefully.

I nodded, "Of course," I said with a grin, and began driving off, "Love you!"

I heard Pierce's voice faintly say 'love you too' as I continued down the road, heading for the airport.

My heart began racing as thoughts of what could happen to Nick. What if he tried to kill himself for whatever reason? I don't know a reason why he would do such a thing. Was it because of me?

Wait, what if I call him mom, Lori? Even though I don't know if she changed her number, maybe I could get through to her. I carefully pull my phone out and stop at the stop sign. Quickly, I turn to my contacts and find her number listed in my phone. I press her icon and the 'talk' button, and put it on speaker before I begin to drive again towards the direction where the airport is.

After about three rings, I began to panic that she wouldn't answer. "Please pick up," I kept muttering to myself.

Before the fifth ring came, I heard Lori's sweet voice introduce herself through the phone, "Lori Peterson speaking."

I sighed in relief, "Oh thank god," I said with a small smile appearing on my face.

"Zack? Is that you? Why are you calling? Is something wrong?" She asked, not taking a breath through her questions.

"I don't know if somethings wrong," I say, my smile slowly fading away.

There was a small silence before I continued, "Nick called me and he was crying and freaking out, I don't know if he's okay."
