◇Chapter 15◇

Desia and I spoke all night about my date with Zale. She was surprised that I actually made a move on him and was thrilled that it went well. I was getting dressed to leave out for school when a message came in on my phone.

♡Bestie♡: I'm in my Mom's car outside. Hurry up.

I peeped through my window and saw the red Range Rover 2017 parked by the sidewalk. I grabbed my backpack and bolted down the stairs. After closing the door I hopped in and sat beside Desia.

"Goodmorning Mrs.Chambers." I smiled at her mom who made eye contact with me through the rear view mirror.

"Goodmorning Isa." She smiled back.

Desia grabbed my wrist that had my bracket on it and cooed when she read the engraving. I smiled at her as her mom drove pulled off the curb.

"So do you think today is gonna be a normal day?" She spoke in a hushed excited voice even though her mom was humming loudly.

"Yeah. I mean don't guys like him usually like keeping relationships a secret for a while?" I responded in the same low voice mocking her excitment. She nodded in agreement.

In 5 minutes time we were exiting the car. I told Desia's mom thank you and Desia said goodbye. Grayson and Will walked up to us, each of them hugging us both. Desia immediately started giving them all the details of my date except the makeup session in the kitchen. She only told them that we kissed, much to my appreciation. They all had goofy smiles plastered on their faces.

They were walking in front of me when we entered the blue and cream building. I stopped at my locker, opened it and was placing my books inside when arms encircled my waist tightly. I felt a hard chest behind me and a face in the crook of my neck.

He inhaled my perfume deeply. "Goodmorning."

"Goodmorning. " I turned around to face him. His beautiful brown eyes were shining happlily at me. I heard some whispering and looked around nervously.

"You look nervous." He said softly studying my face. I met his eyes briefly.

"No. .I just thought that you would wanna keep us a secret. For a while."
I answered truthfully while looking at his shirt.

"Why would I?  I want everyone to know that your mine and mine only." He said the last two words seriously and a chill ran down my spine. A high pitched voice was heard coming down the hall and I knew it was Sarah. Zale let go of me and pushed his hands in his pockets.

"I'll see you during lunch." He walked off with Ezekiel and Rumi who were a few lockers away. My friends came up to me with huge smiles. I rolled my eyes at them then turned to lock my locker.

"Secret my ass." Desia said and we all laughed a little. After which we all seperated to our different classes.

My mind kept going back to why Zale broke our embrace just as Sarah was coming into view. Probably I should  ask him. Or maybe it had nothing to do with her. I brushed the idea away and focused my attention in class. During lunch he was with his friends when Sarah walked over to them. She said something to him and they both walked off. I turned to look at Desia and she was already on it. She got up and walked off into the direction that they went.

"I'm sure she's just chatting his ear off again." Will said encouragingly to me.

Zale's POV

I was in my car speeding down the highway hurrying to get to school. I couldn't wait to lay eyes on Isa, then she would blush as she usually did. I wanted to wrap my arms around her  waist and squeeze her till she laughed.  I slowed down as I was approaching the entrance of my school. I caught a glimpse of her walking into the building and parked in the closet vacant spot. Just as I stepped out Sarah walked up to me.
