"As long as nobody goes into my room we're good!" I shout over the boisterous voices of almost everyone. We'd left the park four hours earlier than we had to so my dad had opened it up, free of charge, for the rest of the day. Now, most of us had come over to my parents' for a little family and friends get together.

That is, after everyone took a shower.

There were eight bedrooms in this particular house. One for my parents, five designated for the kids, and two guest rooms for when family visited. We had about nine full baths and two half ones if anyone was interested in using the sink for a quick wipe down. Eight rooms, eleven bathrooms, we should be good right?

Wrong.

There was a little over 20 of us here and the majority were woman and you know how that could be. Though, like I said, it wasn't my problem because I stayed here once upon a time and my room was already dibbed.

I pull Kyle, who's holding a sleepy Blake in his arms, up into my room and lock the door before anyone else can come up and join us.

"Maybe I should've went home? It seems like there's only family and Brandon here." Kyle mutters, laying Blake on the bed and scratching his pink tinted neck.

"Shut up," I groan, pushing him into my desk chair. "First of all, a fourth of everyone down their isn't family and second of all, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop bringing B up. He's a close family friend. Nothing is going to change that, but you have nothing to be worried about, okay?" I take a sideways glace at Blake before bringing him into her "room".

"I only want you, okay? Today was- is great. We're great, like you said. Take your own advice and stop second guessing." I don't give him a chance to reply as I pull his head down as soon as I've finished talking. I can feel his smile against my lips and it only makes my heart speed up more than it already was.

"Don't you need to shower? What about Blake? I'm sure she needs a shower? Chlorine and all that shit; terrible for the skin." Kyle rambles, pulling away and taking a few steps back.

I frown and step towards him again. "Right now, babe? I thought maybe we could, you know, have some alone time?" I raise an eyebrow and slide my hand under his shirt with a smirk.

He shakes his head and walks back into the main room and picks Blake up.

"Your mama wants me to be very bad, but I'm not with the shits at all, not even a little bit. Now let's find something for you to wear princess."

I can't help the loud laugh that escapes my lips. "Give me your princess; you find something for her to wear and bring it in the bathroom. You won't be able to see us." I tell him, grabbing my daughter and kissing both her cheeks.

"Kyle is definitely with it, baby girl. He just doesn't want mama to make him weak in the knees in front of you." I coo, grabbing a shirt and undergarments for myself before going into my bathroom.

I start the water and undress us both before settling into the bath. I started scrubbing Blake and immediately smiled. Blake must've been super tired because she wasn't fussing while I washed her clean and even went ahead and twisted up her hair.

I had started on my own body when the door cracked open and kyle stepped in.

"I got what she's going to wear."

"You can set it on the vanity. Thank you, baby."

I didn't mean for that to slip out; it had been on the tip of my tongue all day and I'd held back through all the rides, all the times we ate, and through any time we were just together as a group.
