I was an idiot. An actual dumb, jealous idiot who completely lost it over seeing Astin with her sister's boyfriend. But in my defense, they looked real "buddy-buddy" to me.

"I'm sorry, baby. I'll put an actual baby in you later so you can forgive me." I smirk. Astin's head snaps up and looks around before she kicks me underneath the table. I chuckle at her serious expression even though I was only half joking. Joking about the baby part, serious about the being in her part. It was time. A waitress comes by and takes our order and we sit in silence for awhile.

"Do you like it?" She hides her hand under the table after seeing she's been caught.

"Yeah...it's nice. Beautiful."

I sigh and move to sit on her side. "I'm sorry. I got jealous, as per usual. It was uncalled for and the last thing I want is for you to be upset on your birthday. I love you." I murmur, kissing her temple then her cheek.

She sighs and faces me. "He's going to tell my family."

I shrug, "So?"

"'So' nothing! My parents are dram-"

"Here you go, birthday girl. I already got your usual out for you and I didn't know what your date would want so I just prepared it for him too. Hope that's alright sweetie." Rochelle places Astin's signature dish in front of us and I send her a warm smile.

"Someone just came and took our order but thank you; he's fine with that." She sends Rochelle a cheeky wink and stalks off, most likely going to tend to her other customers.

I bite into the food and moan. "This is so good! I can see why it's your favorite."

She hums and I look at her and sigh. "Astin, please. I'm really trying to make this special for you."

She curls her lips and raises her arm. In what seems like seconds a waiter is at our table ready to tend to her every need and want. Like always.

"Take out plates. Please." She says, tensely. The waiter scurries away and brings them back promptly, asking three times if she needs anything else.

I scoff and roll my eyes. "This is your fucking problem. You're too fucking spoiled! I'm trying to do something sweet for you on your birthday and you-"

"Shut your bitch ass up, Kyle. Forget the food. I'll be waiting outside while you try and find where all your damn sense is because you've clearly lost it."

She scoots past me and basically runs out the restaurant. I curse and hurriedly pack our food before going after her. As I step out I see her in my Porsche screaming into her phone. With a sigh I walk over and open the driver seat and then put our things in the back.

"I'll call you back Aus, the bitch made ass bitch nigga just got in the car."

I suck in a breath and send her a glare before starting the car and driving off.

We drive in silence until I reach my place.

"You know this isn't where I want to be."

"Get the hell out the car." I demand, grabbing our food and getting out the car. She huffs and gets out, slamming my door in the process. If it weren't her birthday and I wasn't so confused on how things went so left so quickly I probably would've said something. The elevator ride feels as though it takes ten minutes to get us to my floor. I open the door and hold it open for her while she angrily and unnecessarily shoves me walking into the apartment. I set our breakfast on the counter before gripping her hand and leading her to my bedroom.

"Lay down."

She looks at me in disbelief before raising an eyebrow. "Boy fuck you."

I sigh and gently push her back before getting on my knees and taking off her shoes. I pull off our jackets and then climb on top of her.

"I can feel how angry you are." She mumbles.

I brush some hair off her forehead and cock my head to the side. "And why do you think that is? You ruining my plan and our schedule? Or you calling me a 'bitch made ass bitch nigga' to your sister? Take your pick."

"You called me spoiled!"

"And you proved my point!"

"It's my birthday!"

"That I'm trying to make special but you keep fighting me! I don't understand why you can't just-"

"I don't want the ring, Kyle!"

I blink at her a couple times before rolling off of her and standing, then pacing.

"I...I love you. Y-You do special things for me and my baby and she loves you too. God, she loves you so much and that's what makes it worse. She loves you like a dad and I," She sighs and hangs her head. "Kyle, I love you. But I'm not in love with you. I feel as though I've been dragged into this relationship with a blindfold over my eyes and there has never been a chance to say no. I'll wear your chain everyday of my life but a ring means so much more to me and I don't think it's right for us right now. Okay, I want to be with you I just feel like we need more time. Can you give me that?"

I don't say anything. My face is red, my ears are ringing and I feel as though my heart has been balled up and thrown away by the only person making it beat.

She touches my back and I whip around to face her.

"I'm sorry. It was the ring and then it was the whole thing with Corey and then you called me spoiled, which I hate, and it just set me off. You aren't a bitch made ass bitch nigga and if you were you'd at the least be my bitch made ass bitch nigga. I'm sorry for messing up your plans and schedule too. I love you, okay?" She slips the ring off and drops it into my hand. "Time, baby."

I lick my lips and take the chain from around her neck.

"Ky-"

I shoot her a look.

I unclasp it and slide on the ring. I gulp before putting it around her neck and thumbing her chin.

"I'm in love with you. And if you need time. We'll take time."

She grins and throws her arms around me. "I know you have this whole thing planned but can we just hang out for a bit? I feel like we never get real us time between our jobs, our family, and Blake."

"We have to go to the final thing at nine."

"Deal."

"Mmm, okay. What do you think we should do?"

Her eyes light up and I gulp. I wasn't thinking like that but it's very clear she is.

"Well," She starts, "I have a couple ideas."

"A couple?"

She nods and covers her lips with mine.

"A couple."
