astin

Surprisingly enough, the headache I woke up with wasn't too, too bad. I could still get up and get around so I opted out of taking Tylenol. Plus, the last time thing I wanted to be was sleepy from pills when my baby got here.

I allowed a grin to come across my face at the thought of seeing Blake.

I grab my phone hoping to see a text from my mom saying she and Blake were on their way but instead all I see are emails and texts about what happened last night.

I lazily scroll through my notifications as usual and as I was about to set my phone back down I see a text from an unknown number.

-
hey this is kyle. I talked to B. he said you didn't have a special someone

-
& follow me back so I can dm you 🙄

I fucking hate Brandon Ingram. I dial his number and he answers after the third ring.

"Hel-"

"You gave him my number! Why?"

He chuckles and I can hear him going somewhere.

"It's for you."

"What? Brandon you better not-"

"Hello?"

I glare at my phone while putting it on speaker.

"I didn't call to talk to you."

He laughs and I smile. "I didn't think you did. How's your head?"

"Fine, I guess. I didn't die in my sleep or anything."

"Well...that's good." He laughs again. "So, who's your special someone."

I roll my eyes. "Why?"

"Because instead of eating breakfast with you, I'm at B's place with these jackasses."

The guys shout in the background and I giggle.

"You don't even know me. Plus, I'm sure my dad has some unsaid rule about his players not talking to us. Like, outside of the game."

"You talk to Brandon."

I hum while looking through my closet. "Well we're friends. It's different."

He pauses for a second. "What would we be?"

I drop the hanger I'm holding and look at my phone.

"I didn't mean it like that." I grunt, picking up the clothes.

"You still haven't told me who your special someone is."

"I saw you followed me on Instagram. Figure it out."

He pauses for awhile so I'm assuming he's looking to see who I'm talking about.

Your daughter?"

"Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner."

He doesn't answer and for a second I think he's been scared off by Blake.

"Ky-"

"Uh, I'm still here. I'm going to call you on my phone, okay?"

"I'm actually about to go to the airport to get my mom and Blake so-"

"Blake?"

I can't help but smile at his tone. "Blake, my daughter."

"Oh."

"Yeah...I need to take a shower so I'll...talk to you later, I guess?"

"Yeah...yeah. Bye, Astin."
