Barry and I, we became pretty close. I got the feeling that I could tell him everything, but even then, I could not trust him to really tell him everything. He could not know who I really was, what would he think of me? Barry told a lot about his childhood, how his mother was killed and his father was arrested for it and was still in jail for something he didn't committed. It was terrible to hear. My parents were both dead too. I knew exactly how he felt. Only I never knew my parents, I was just a baby when it happened.

I had the chance to meet Barry's stepfather, Joe West, when he visited the lab. That same moment, I also met Barry's best friend and Joe's daughter, Iris. Everyone was so friendly, they were a family. Not only Barry, Iris and Joe, but also Cisco and Caitlin. That was something I always missed, a family. I had one but that did not last long. Because of everything I had become, I grew up too fast and I left as soon as I turned 16.

Cisco and I came up with most of the names for the Metahumans that plagued Central City. Some did not make sense while the others were on point. We tried to think of a name on turns but sometimes one was faster then the other.

"Reverse flash!" I blew out. Cisco looked at me with a pouty lip. "Sorry Cisc, you were too slow this time.'' This time I managed to think of a name before Cisco knew one even though it was his turn.

The last few days we came into contact with another speedster. The man in the yellow suit, Barry always called him that, he was probably the real murderer of Barry's mother. When we first came into contact with the reverse flash Barry was furious, because he knew he was not fast enough to stop him. Barry was no longer the fastest man alive.

Luckily Iris and I were able to calm him down a bit. He needed us, he could not do this alone. I knew how Barry felt, he felt helpless. I also had to watch how the reverse flash terrorized his life for the second time. I could not use my powers to slow down the speedster. And it killed me, the fact that I could not help Barry without revealing my secret. I have gone through the plan more than a hundred times in my head but every time I came to reveal my powers.

And if all of this was not bad enough, we also had two criminals on our doorstep. Mick Rory and Leonard Snart, also known as Heat Wave and Captian Cold. I had not yet had the pleasure of meeting them, while the rest of the team often had enough to do with them. But be careful what you wish for, because you might get it. And that was true, a few days after Barry admitted that he needed help I got a visit from Captain Cold.

I started early that morning, by about six o'clock. I wanted to clean up my workplace and secretly look between Dr. Wells his belongings because he was too often and too long gone for my knowledge.

I found nothing useful in his office. I did not want to spend too much time on it so I went back to the lab to clean up my own mess. What I did not see coming was that I was not alone in the lab. I walked around the corner of the lab and was a bit surprised to see Captain Cold. "You startled me." I said without feeling really shocked. He sat at my desk and looked at me with grin on his face. '' Sorry darling. Will not happen again. "" I rolled my eyes and walked past him.

I did not feel threatened and did not let me sweep of my path just that easily. "What brings you here?" I asked out of curiosity as I put some paper work in a tray. "I wanted to see you." He looked at me with a flirtatious smile. I shook my head. "I feel flattered." I put my hand on my chest as a sign of gratitude. Without saying a word, he got up and walked around the desk and stood behind me.

He tenderly laid his hands on my shoulders. "Why don't we finish this conversation at my place?" He whispered in my ear. There was something about his voice, the way he said it that brought a shiver running down my spine. ''No thanks. I have a lot of work to do here." He turned me around so that I stood with my back against the desk. "It was not a question either." He said, somewhat annoyed. I looked straight at him. "It's time you left Snart." He was not really served by my statement. I pushed him aside and tried to get my phone a little further on the desk. Leonard saw what I was planning and grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from the desk. A few meters away I ended up on the ground. I got up again and tried to run to the exit, that too went without success. In a fraction of a second, Leonard had pulled his cold gun and aimed at me. I heard the loading of his gun and made a stupid decision to turn around. ''Another step and you are an ice sculpture.'' He said in a chilly voice.

I stood as frozen at my spot. "We're starting on over." He put his gun back into his holster and held out his hand. ''Please go with me, away from here. I can offer you more excitement and adventure than, "he said with open arms while he spun around. ''Then they here. So what do you say?'' I did not know what he was up to but I did not fall for it. ''No.'' As if something in him froze. "That's it!" He walked up to me and grabbed my wrist hard-handedly.

Pain shot through my wrist and tried to pull away his hand with all the strength that a normal 19-year-old had to have. "Let me go!" I yelled. Leonard dragged me along. I threw my weight into the fight and tried to resist. With a hard pull on my arm he brought me up so that we would face each other. Without thinking of it, I gave him a head butt.

He had been taken off his path for a second. "I do not want to hurt you, but you don't give me another choice." For the first time in our conversation, I didn't know what he meant and I didn't saw the following coming. He hit me full on my nose with his fist so that I fell backwards. I pretended it knocked me out because that would have been the case with someone else. I remained lying motionless. I heard Leonard sigh and heard footsteps approaching. H came to a standstill in front of me and knelt beside me. "I'm sorry, it shouldn't have gone like this." Carefully he wiped a string of hair out of my face and gently lifted me up.

He carried me out like a real gentleman. Put me in the backseat of his car, which was parked in front of the building and drove away. How I was going to save myself from this I did not know, whether Barry got on it in time I didn't know either. The cameras that I had installed at the beginning were now worthless and I could replace them as, rightly so, I was back again. The only thing I could do now was pretend that I was unconscious and wait. I could not do more at the moment.
