For a day or two we stayed in the temporal zone, still figuring out when and where to go. Everyone was minding their own business, staying out of each others hair. There was a strange amount of tension among the crew.

I tried to stay in my quarters as much as possible, trying to locate the man in the trench coat. My first encounter with the man was back at the power plant. He took my past self from me, he said we where old friends and that I would get to know him better later. I wondered if that later was now.

Without a name, I hid a dead end early in my investigation. As good as I possible could, I drew a portrait of him. With that portrait, I went to Rip. It was a long shot, but it was the only one I had.

Entering his office, I saw he was talking to Sara. Knocking on the door I entered. ''I am not interrupting, am I?'' I asked carefully. Sara stepped away from his desk and Rip answered. ''Of course not, what can I help you with?'' He had noticed the piece of paper in my hand, pointing at it. ''I need to find this man.'' I showed it to him, Sara looked over his shoulder and a glimpse of recognition flashed over her face.

She took the drawing out of Rip's hand to study it better. ''That is John.'' She looked from the paper to me. ''Why do you need to find him?'' she asked, clearly she knew more then she would let me know. ''I believe he can help me, to sort things out with my power problem.'' She gave me back the drawing. ''You know him, don't you.'' I said to here, wanting answers. ''Yes, I do but he doesn't do things for free, there is always a catch.'' I rolled my eyes.

I didn't care about the catch, I would do what ever it took to get my powers up and working again. ''Just tell me where I can find him.'' With a sigh she pulled her phone out of her pocked, knowing I wouldn't back down on this. She started typing and a minute later she looked back at me. ''I asked him to meet me. Back in Central city, 2016.'' A small smile appeared on my face.

There was no reason for her to help me and yet she did. ''I will let you know when and where, if he agrees.'' I quickly said my thanks. ''Thank you Sara.'' She smiled back at me. ''You would have done they same.'' It was true, I would have done the same, hell I would have teleported to his doorstep if I had too.

With no further business in Rip's office I walked back to my room. In the hall way I nearly walked into Leonard. ''Oh sorry,'' I started, looking at him guilty because I hand't seen him. ''Just watch where you are going next time.'' he said coldly. With a raised eyebrow I looked at him. ''I said I was sorry.'' I didn't understand his change in tone to me. He shook his head and walked further. ''Jeez, what is his problem.'' I asked myself while continuing walking myself.

Back in my quarters I laid down on my bed. It felt weird not being able to use my powers. I almost felt human. If I got hurt or injured I wouldn't be able to heal, I couldn't teleport even my telepathy wasn't working. I hated not being able to know what people were feeling. My people skills depended on my powers.

I must have fallen asleep at one point, I was awoken by a strange sound. It was a women talking. The quality was terrible, almost distorted. Making my way down to the source, I ended up on the bridge. Everyone els was already there.

Rip was showing them a distress video of a women in trouble. Once the video was over they noticed me. ''Who was that?'' I asked, walking closer to the panels. ''Captain Eve Baxter, apparently her ship has broken down.'' Rip filled me in. Telling me she needed a rescue party. ''And we care about this chick, why?'' Mick asked already annoyed. ''We don't.'' Rip said to everyones surprise. ''But the Acheron's computer will contain current intel about Vandal's whereabouts.'' so it was pure self-interest that Rip wanted to help her. It all looked a little to suspicious to me.
