Aria's POV

Walking into work with a little bounce in my step. The last three days have been such a nice change.

Plus I woke up yesterday with a message from Floyd reminding me to let him know what I think.

I haven't tried any yet besides the sunshine balls because I want to make them last as long as possible.

Knocking on my bosses door smiling holding my new written column tightly. I can't help but feel a bit nervous. I have worked so hard on it.

"Come in!" Here is the moment of truth. Opening the door and slowly making my way to his desk then putting the folder on top of it.

Without looking at me he took the folder and began reading it. Taking a seat I started chewing my nails. That's what I do when I am extremely anxious.

Tapping my foot quietly, I didn't realise I was a impatient person until now.

"Hmmm..." Is that all his going to say now I am starting to get worried.

"It's better then what I expected. I'll run it in tomorrow's issue. Keep up the good work. There's another job for you on your disk."

Taking that as my que to leave. I walked to my disk with a smile on my face.

I think I am going to celebrate sometime tonight.

I wonder if Mel is going to be free. With that thought in mind. I asked her if she was up to going out for dinner just the two of us.

We haven't had a girls night out in ages.

Shifting through papers and writing things down. I didn't realise it was lunch time until my stomach growled.

I think I'm going to have lunch in the cafeteria today. After all the driving I have been doing it seems to be the better option.

Plus it'll be the best time to catch Mel seeing as she works in a different department here.

Grabbing what I needed I headed towards the cafeteria, excited to tell her my exciting news.

Glancing around the lunch room it didn't take me long to find her.

First I went to the counter.

"What are you having today?" Tay asked with a smile. I haven't seen her for awhile and she is always super nice.

"Just a chicken salad sandwich please with a large coffee."

"Coming right up, how have you been lovely?"

"Good thank you,  I finally got a big job and my boss was happy with the results. What about you?"

"That's fantastic I'm so happy for you! I have been great I have almost finished my degree."

I'm so glad Tay has worked so hard to get where she is today and I couldn't be more proud.

Walking around the counter I pulled her into a quick hug.

"I'm so proud of you!" I spoke as I pulled back.

"Thanks chick, lunch is on the house today." See she really is sweet!

"Thanks Tay!"

Even though she said lunch was on the house. I still left her a big tip in the jar.

Taking the seat across from Mel I waited for her to greet me.

"Hey!" I can't wait any longer to tell her the news.

"So the boss is really proud of my work and I got another big story to cover!" Doing a little happy dance in my seat while I waited for her to say something.
