"you have feelings for me," mark mumbled causing the amused girl to nod, and cheongah focused on his eyes once again. just as she was about to question it his voice filled her ears, "they're bright green, aren't they?"

the girl nodded even though she felt slightly embarrassed staring directly into the guy's eyes.

"is green a bad thing?" she looked at the boy as he shrugged, his face scrunching up for a second as he thought about what to answer.

"depends on if it's dark green, light green, or bright green," at his comment she rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but grin at him, mirroring his expression, "oh shut up, bright."

once again he shrugged, and a mischievous smirk appeared on his face. cheongah gave him a look but he ignored it as he spoke up, "then it depends on the situation and who you ask,"

"just tell me what it means, mark lee," cheongah let out a small outburst, only earning a chuckle from the guy. mark nodded his head, his hand moving to massage the back of his head, "confusion."

cheongah looked at him blankly for a few moments, blinking her eyes at him, and once again he nodded, confirming that what he had said was true. her blank stare then turned into a playful glare and her hands flew into the air.

"what? confusion? i thought it was something completely messed up, and it's just confusion?" mark let his lips turn into a pout, and he crossed his arms over his chest, acting offended by her words.

"don't judge my feelings,"

she shook her head at him before running a hand through his hair making a few dots of light pink appear in his eyes. her lips turned into a very tiny frown before she spoke up again, "what are you confused about? me liking you?"

"yeah, i mean, could you even call me human? what the hell is this?" at the end of the sentence he had pointed at his eyes, and the girl who previously had been running her hand through his hair stopped doing so while giving him a stern look.

"yah, mark lee, i like you for you and not your.. eyes," that seemed to shut him up, and she continued playing with his locks in silence.

it took him a few quiet moments to finally speak again, his eyes big as he looked at the girl, "so, are we a thing now?"

the girl couldn't help but snicker. he was cute.

"you haven't asked yet," the older one couldn't help but smile at her, and he grabbed the hand that now rested by the back of his neck, intertwining his fingers with hers.

"cheong, do you wanna go out with me?" the small smirk that already had been present on her face turned into a large smile, and she gave his larger hand a squeeze.

"of course i will."

the two smiled at each other before the girl dropped her smile and it morphed into a pout.

"i'm still mad that green is confusion,"

"bright green actually," cheongah huffed at his correction and gave him a light shove that resulted in him lying down on the bed instead of sitting on it.

"oh stop it, i was panicking for a second! what if green was like disgusted or something?" while the girl ranted a bit, mark was lying down, laughing at her words and frustration. he sat up once again, reaching out for her hand which she gladly offered for him, and he was still chuckling as he started talking again, "this really ugly brown-yellow color is disgust,"

".. nice," she had given him a look of disgust as she imagined the color of his eyes when he was disgusted, and the boy couldn't help but let out a snort.

"what? you kind of asked for it!"

the girl rolled her eyes, landing a light punch in his side before her laugh filled his ears. the sight of her like that made the corner of his lips curl up into a large grin before he, himself, started laughing, his eyes turning baby blue as he did. the girl had wanted to question it but decided against it.

"my eyes change color because of my mood?" asked the young boy who had just turned five a few days earlier, and the older woman nodded with a small smile, her hand running through the boy's dark hair. mark's now bright green eyes moved to his dad, the older man.

"i just thought it changed color randomly," his dad shook his head, a small smile on his face as well.

his dad spoke up, "they don't, and that's why your mom and i think it would be a good idea to note down the different colors and emotions."

mark nodded, even though he hadn't completely understood what was being said. of course he had noticed the different eye colors, but he didn't think it was because of his emotions.

his mom smiled, opening the small notebook that she had brought to the dinner table.

"what do we know already?" her eyes moved from the lined paper to her husband and then to her son.

"pink! bright pink is fear," mark looked at his mom as she nodded, writing what his dad had said onto the paper, and they continued with the other colors they had seen his eyes turn.

yellow, baby blue, grey, black, and now bright green.
