23: His World

Tobias pov

I wake up around 10:30. I turn to find no tris. I assume she went somewhere in the compound. So I go take a shower. When I walk into the bathroom there is a pair of boots, black pants, navy blue shirt, and boxers laying on the counter. Tris truly is the best. I am smile at the fact of her knowing I would get a shower first thing in the morning. I get undressed and jump in the shower. After about ten minutes I am done and get mostly dressed. When I walk out of the bathroom I am in the middle of putting my shirt on. Tris is sitting at the edge of one of the beds and stares at me.

"See something you like?" I laugh and Tris blushes. "C'mon admit it Tris you don't have to be embarrassed around me."

"Oh my gosh fine Tobias I do see something I like."

"Pssh everyone does."

"And who is everyone Tobias?"

"Just you."

"Then why do you say everyone."

"Because Tris, when I refer to everyone that would be referring to the whole world and to me you are my world."

She gets up and kisses me. I kiss back until she pulls away. " There is coffee and Oatmeal over there on the dresser."

"Thanks" I walk over, more like run, and take a spoonful and put it in my mouth. This is so good. Tris put cinnamon in it just the way I like it.

"Tris stop babying me, I am seriously fine."

"No your not....you were in an accident."

"Beatrice seriously."

"Four seriously."

I whine "don't call me that.You know my real name."

"Then don't call me Beatrice."

"Deal"

I shovel the rest of the oatmeal in my mouth along with the coffee.

"About time to go tobias"

"Ok let's go"

We walk out the dorms and go to the cafeteria. One of the farmers there offers to drive us the the Train. It kind of scares me to get back in a truck. This ride is much better than the last one. Not bumpy, a moderate speed ,and no swerving. This reminds me of Peter.

"Excuse me sir."

"Yes? and my name is Connor."

"Ok Connor. There is a boy in the infirmary by the name of Peter. It would be appreciated if you could send updates on his condition every few days to Johanna Reyes."

"Of course"

The rest of the ride was silence.

(Skip to their apartment.)

We walk through the doors. of our apartment.

"Tobias go lay down I'll be in there in a couple of minutes with pain reliever. I do as I'm told because I am really am tired. I walk to our bedroom and plop down on the bed. I close my eyes and fall asleep for a few seconds. I wake quickly to a sharp pain in my neck.

"Sorry Tobias. You fell asleep and I was giving you your pain reliever. We didn't has pills just the needle."

"don't be sorry, just lay down with me."

She does. She lays down on her side facing me. Her beautiful eyes stare into mine. I could lay like this forever Her arm laying around my rib cage and mine on her thigh.

"You are so handsome Tobias."

"And you Tris are beautiful. More beautiful ten I ever thought possible."

"Can I see your tattoo?"

I sit up and pull of my shirt. She the sits up and traces her fingers along my back.

"I wish I would have never done it."

"Done what?"

"Got that tattoo. It Is stuck on me forever and doesn't mean angthing. The factions are detroyed."

"It does mean something though. It shows you our past. Good or bad. It shows that things will grow, change, and get better. It means everyhing."

I lay back down and pull her with me.

"Go to sleep Tobias. If you plan on doing paintball tomorrow,you'll need rest."

I just keep staring into her eyes until they shut. She is asleep and I soon follow.
