Zoie

I grabbed my biology book out of my locker and closed the door. Alexia was just walking on to the hallway. Rolling my eyes, I turned and walked up the stairs to the science halls. I know I shouldn't be mad at her but she looks just like him, and I don't wanna see his face right now. I don't even know why I'm trying to avoid her, because she is in this class too. I walk inside room 224 and take my seat in the back of Mr. Bergman's class. Taking out my notebook, I start copying the notes from the projector. I have to pass all of my classes so I can get the hell out of this town. I don't play about my grades. I saw Alexia walk in out of the corner of my eye, but I didn't look up to acknowledge her. She seemed to get the hint that I ain't wanna be bothered because she sat on the other side of the classroom. Thank you sweet baby Jesus. "What? Y'all mad at each other?" Destiny asked, sitting in the chair that Lexi usually sits in. I shook my head no and continued to copy the notes. "Okay class, lets get started shall we?" Mr. Bergman walked in the classroom and closed the door. "We are going to be doing projects and I will assigning groups of three. So Shamiya, Jessie, and Lashawn. You guys are in a group." As he was talking, my phone dinged and I looked down to see a message from Lexi.
Lexi: what's the matter with you? Did I do something
Me: no ma'am. I'm just not feeling well
Lexi: I can walk you to the nurse if you would like.
Me: no that's okay. I will see you after class.

I put my phone back in my purse and listened for my name. "Zoie, Alexia, and Darius. You guys are a group. Mr. Bergman said, I turned around to look at Darius who was looking at me smiling. Darius is the captain of the football team and the finest boy in the school. He had just broke up with Jamie. Their relationship was a cliche anyway. Head cheerleader and football captain. Suddenly, I felt much better. The bell rang letting us know that the class was over as the students walked up to the front of the class, to grab the project topics. Alexia beat me to the front and pulled a slip of paper from the hat on the desk. "Define
proton, electron, and neutron. Use examples and build a prototype." She read the paper out loud as Darius and I walked up to her. "Cool." Darius said and walked off leaving the classroom. I smiled at her and walked out too leaving her standing there. I shouldn't treat her like that and I know this so don't give me shit okay? I just have to get over James, and then we can be back to normal.

The last class of the day and I'm changing out my math book for my history book when I see Jamie coming my way. I rolled my eyes mentally and pretended that I didn't see her. "Zoie Adams..I hear you and Alexia Morgan are working with my Darius on a project." She said with her minion cheerleaders behind her. I closed the door and clutched my book close to my chest. "And what does that have to do with you?" I asked looking around to see if anyone was paying attention, they were. "Anything that involves him... has EVERYTHING to do with me." She said flipping her stiff ass weave over her shoulder. "Well last I heard. Y'all broke up so actually it ain't got shit to do with you. You need to have something to do with that damn hair though." I said laughing and walking off. I don't know who in the hell she thinks she is, but she got the wrong time and the right bitch. I headed into U.S History and took my seat in the front of the class. I actually am a big fan of the subject, and it ain't just because the teacher is fine as hell. Okay so Mr. Jordan is exactly the reason why I like the class but it's just not me. All of the senior girls who take the class are infatuated by the man. With his dimples and boyish smile. I'd marry him, he'd be the one to make me forget about James for good.
