HALLOWEEN WAS RIGHT AROUND the corner, and I was probably the most excited for this holiday than I have been during the past months. The annual holiday has always been my favorite over everything else, and it was only because I was able to watch as much horror films without my mother entering my room and shaking her head at me in judgement.

The school had begun decorating the area with Halloween decorations. Since Halloween would be on a Monday, it was mandatory to wear a Halloween costume. Not only that, but the weekend before the holiday, there was rumor of a party taking place and was hosted by a rich boy in the football team.

And for some reason, I was invited.

"I'm not going," I told Daniel, closing my locker before heading towards the first class.

"But I got invited too, we can go together," he pleaded, trailing behind me.

"I don't care, I have plans," I said, sitting down on my chair. He sat on his chair, facing me and leaning his arms on the back of it.

"Doing nothing doesn't count as plans, Logan," he scolded and I rolled my eyes. "And it's said to be the party of the year."

"Everyone that hosts parties say that; in reality, they get drunk, the house gets trashed and everyone will wake up with a hangover, thinking the party was the best, but it's only because the DJ didn't speak during songs," I retorted. "I'm not going, I'm staying home."

"I thought you wanted to be more out there," he recalled.

"Yeah and what happened when I said that? I met an absolute psycho," I reminded him. "I'm content with drowning myself in popcorn and horror movies, so please Daniel, if you are my friend, you'll deal with my choice."

"Are you seriously pulling the friend card on me?" He rose a brow and I nodded. "Ugh fine, only because you finally admitted to being my friend."

"You're easily persuaded," I scoffed.

"That's if I gain something from this," he insisted.

"Oh come on, you weren't able to watch someone get decapitated, how are you going to watch other movies?"

"It's a deal then, I'll be at your apartment on Friday with popcorn and candy, you bring the drinks and the movies." His proposal caused my eyebrow to quirk up.

"You mean tomorrow?"

"Yes, since tomorrow is Friday," he nodded, confirming. "So I'll meet you at your place, right?" Once again, I nodded.

As much as I was excited for tonight, the fact that I had my period this morning made everything slightly less exciting. Periods have never been much of an issue ever since I started. I simply do what I have to do, and the fact that I wear black jeans every day was able to help me to prevent from having a stain be noticed.

Ellie was sleeping on the window seat, while I was lying in my bed with my laptop on my bare stomach, the heat of it helping the cramps. I had just gotten home from school, changed into a pair of cotton shorts and a large sweater but lied on my bed when the cramps were too much. Cramps were normal to me, it wasn't like I was unable to walk when I had them, but it felt best to lie down for a minute before I continued on with my day.

Mom was out for a Halloween party held by the firm, so I don't expect her to be home until the next morning. Daniel will be here before seven. I made sure to check that the WiFi was working perfectly, the connection was strong—then again, it was paid by the company my mom works in, so they had to ensure good quality.
