I am so tired
having to get up each morning
face the million small obstacles
that slowly become mountains

needing to be strong for others
smiling so they can hope
but I am so tired
my candle burned down
a while ago
running on fumes now
I need a real long holiday
so I can fill the emptiness inside
from everything I've given
have some time to think
look at my life's map
because happiness is not a destination, it's a journey
