rainy day
snuggling deeper into the covers
raindrops against the window
the mountain shrouded in mists
hilltops wreathed in white
fog rising from the river
the fresh breeze stirring up
the many wet leaves
people rejoicing
over all the
drops falling
like unstoppable troops
bringing new strength
singing
their murmuring song
of victory
beating out the rythm
of their advancefollow the muddy road
out of the forests
over the hills
the rain is also in the city
but what a different viewthe rain's song dulled
by the soundproof roofs
the mist a malignant beast
out to wreck cars
the wind lifts soggy papers the water slicking the curb
endangering busy humans
raindrops obscuring your view
slapping your face
here everyone is glad
when the sun comes back
